Kristinn just called me and asked me to post this thread.

He just called CBS Evening News and asked them if they were going to show the militant Islamists' video of the beheading of American Nick Berg.

The woman who answered the phone said that they were going to do a story on it, but they were NOT going to show the full video.

He asked them, "Why not, since you had no problem showing the pictures of the Iraqis being abused by our guys in the prison. Don't you think turnabout is fair play?"

The woman got mad and said, "Thank you for your comment." and then hung up the phone.

The pictures were sent to the family of Fredricks? by the soldier, and they tried to blackmail the Army.

Almost sounds like a left wing type set up. No wonder Hillary knew more about the incident than Rumsfield! Sheesh! What are the odds?

I called CBS and asked about playing the video and a 'grandmotherly' voice (I'm 54 and I know she was older than me!) answered the phone. She said they would only report the story but not show the video and hurried off the line by saying "I have another call".

If Nick Berg had been laid off, or beheaded by a trolley wheel, it might be more compelling for you.

I don't think the deplorable acts captured on the prison videos rise to the same horrific level as the decapitation. Furthermore, I think your tendency to equate the two is misguided and plays into the hand of the anti-war Islamo-sympathizers.

And his listeners know how gruesome it is. That's all Chris has talked about, how gruesome it is, and described it in great detail.
