May Nicks death not be in vain. May his death serve to show the world that Americans are not barbarians but look for peace.

God Bless the Berg family during this horrible struggle that they must now endure.

Thankyou Nick for trying to do the right thing. I will never forget your sacrifice.

He was American. That was what his murderers found important and significant.

As the mother of a daughter the same age as Nick, my heart aches for his parents and their great and horrible loss. Regardless of religion, I pray that our God gives them the strength and hope to get through this terrible, terrible ordeal.

As a mother, I can't fathom having to learn that your child was put through such a horrible death.

I pray that he was welcomed by God's angels and comforted, and that thousands of angels surround this family with the healing of God's love.

Was Nick Berg Jewish? It's possible. In the video, he made reference to family members named David and Sarah.

His father, Michael Berg, is an anti-war activist. I've heard that he has indeed blamed Bush for his son's death. Some parents lash out in an irrational way when their son is brutally murdered, and try to find someone within easy reach to blame.

The important thing to remember is that Nick Berg was an unarmed American civilian who was there to help rebuild Iraq.
