Troop Rally (s)

What ever happened to all the support rallies for our troops?

They seemed to die down after the end of major conflict about a year ago. With the media hyping up all the bad issues overseas invoving "OUR" troops, it is time we get together to show our support for them and let them know we didn't forget them.

I think it is time to bring back the "Support Our Troop" rallies. Now, more than ever, they need our support. Once a week, once a month, or once a quarter. Any kind of publicized event would show the rest of the country that the majority of the people support our troops, support our president, and support our president's staff.

Thanks,

Chemicalman

Good point! I am not in your area, but everyone can do something - no matter where they are.

We have never stopped having our weekly Support Our Troops Rallies. Over 2 years every Saturday. We also use the occasions to counter protest the leftists who are protesting George Bush

See our last FReep at: www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1132019/posts

Now get out there and have a rally!

I just don't hear about them, especially in my area.

Go to FreeRepublic's home page, page down and find "Operation Infinite FReep", click on that and read about all of the wonderful FReepers who do this every week.
All the Best

We just had one here in Troy, Michigan, initiated by the "Troy Military Mom's" support group, yesterday, Armed Forces Day. It was not very well attended; I think it was not well publicized. I wished I'd made a few more calls. It was the first of its sort for the city (on Armed Forces Day), but I heard talk of doing it again next year. I'd thought about posting on FR (would that have been a good idea?) and contacting a few local politicians, but was busy dealing with a sick kid. Darn, I wish I had.
