I just received a link to this cartoon from a co-worker by email. The cartoon shows the lack of respect and disdain for the dead American war heroes and their families. Please blast Newsweek/MSNBC for propagating this filth its it's magazine and on its' website.

This may or may not be a new acronym for this network: BS-MNC.
Ted Rall and Aaron McGruder, perhaps you could go work there. Unwatchable comics on a network that no one watches.

It's a bit difficult to figure out just what the cartoonist meant. However, if we but assume the ol'gal sitting there looking at the paper is a mind-numbed, robot-like, knee-jerk Liberal intent on voting for John Kerry or an abortionist, then we might take it to be a revelation of their mindset.
Liberals are not, after all is said and done, really human. Totally different species ~ different planet ~ should be sent back!

I did.
And, as an aside, Ted Rall is missing from the pMSNBC.com/comics page today.
Hope that's permanent!!

If they left could get away with it, they would dance in the streets and parade around the dead bodies of American soldiers.
To: Chieftain
Oh man...I get their point, but this is BAD. I don't think they mean "we're glad us soldiers are dying." I think they mean that while the gubmint didnt want the coffin photos getting out, these pics are MUCH worse...the coffin photos are tame by comparison.

I'm certain these liberals do such things out of sheer patriotism.
Any thing less would be unpatriotic.

My take?
They/it is saying...
It's better (easier) to see dead American soldiers, than naked abused iraqi's (Who may have been responsible for killing Americans..)
Sick.

That was my knee jerk reaction...maybe that's their point...but I think the point is supposed to be that the hubbub about coffin pics seems awfully silly compared to this ruckus. And I suppose that is true. But it can too easily be misconstrued.

HOWEVER... the editorial boards of the Cincinatti Post and the Newsweak as well as PMSNBC, should exercise SOME degree of sensitivity towards those who have lost a loved one in this effort.
This was published KNOWING it would cut both ways and without respect for our war dead. The editors of the above need to hear from the public regarding this.

I see it as a reference to "leaked" pictures. Remember that until recently the pictures of the flag draped coffins hadn't been seen. When they were released, there was no harm. To tell you the truth, I dont know why they werent shown early on as a reminder of the work being done in Iraq.
The new torture pictures--they are bad news. They make the coffin picture issue seem like nothing.
All IMHO.

Ya know I don't care what this moronic cartoonist meant but war dead is not subject matter for comics! PERIOD!
And the sooner newspapers and liberals learn some respect for human life whether it be the unborn or those who have paid the ultimate price for freedom the better off we all will be.
