Sheila Jackson Lee is looking for the Mars flag...while she wanders the "carnivorous" halls of DC LOOKING for Maxine...

"Maxine has it on Monday, Wednesday & Friday and Sheila uses it on Tuesday & Thursday. (on weekends the brain is stored on a shelf in the Congressional Black Caucus broom closet)"

But that would imply that there are periods when one of the pair would have normal human intelligence. I've seen no evidence of the existence of such a state by either of them. I think they split the single brain between them, and are "half-witted" all the time.

Yo, black Americans. Listen up bros - find some new, ahem, 'leaders' with a brain.

That's the funny thing. No one elected Jesse a leader. The only reason he has any clout at all is that the media fawns over him every chance they get. Jesse is a liar, and fosters division rather than trying to heal it. Jesse realizes without racial conflict, he's out of business. But, as long as the media continues to tout him as a leader, he will be percieved as a leader. Sad.

Not surprising. When Dean gets mad, he gets even!

Actually, they just leased it...and the lease expired, oh, 15-20 years ago.

But Mad Maxine did say this:

“I have to march because my mother could not have an abortion.”

This is scary. I hope they start watching the coastline in North Dakota more carefully.

At least it wasn't the renegade county of Rhode Island looking to invade it's neighbors.
It was merely a shipment interecpted off the Vermont coastline.
/ joke

Jesse was speaking to hear himself speak yet again.
The other article about this made no mention of said 7500 AK's being anywhere near US territorial waters when 'seized'.

You must have missed Lake Champlain and the Connecticut River, as well as a number of smaller ponds and streams. I presume he means Lake Champlain, which might be linked by canal to the Saint Lawrence.

But you're right, Vermont doesn't have a coastline in the traditional sense of the word.

And Canada doesn't allow AK-47s--I don't even think the mounties can get 'em.

the receivers destroyed, and the parts shipped to a US factory to be mated up with US-manufactured semi-only receivers.
Thanks for the clarification. I knew that the "civilian" receivers were semi-auto only, but was unsure of exactly how the process worked.
I think my point is still valid though that the "anti-gunners" attempt to make the general population believe that without the "assault-weapon" ban the streets would be flooded with AK-47 Machine guns that one could purchase at your local gun show by simply laying down the cash. A complete lie, but then as you pointed out, it isn't about truth at all.

"It was Sheila Jackson-Lee (Houston) who said that while on a tour of NASA facilities at Houston ( Clearlake). "

We need to send Ms. Jackson-Lee a note to inform her that a picture of the US Flag on Mars has been located in the basement of the Alamo.

Fully automatic firearms have been, and will continue to be, illegal.

Not correct. Anyone can apply for, and after a real lengthly and comprehensive background check, be issured a Class 3 license from the BATF. It allows you to own full auto weapons. Each purchase/sale must be between Class 3 holders and involves a federal tax, last I heard the amount was $300 per transaction.

There was a time in this country when you could walk into the local hardware store and purchase a Thompson subgun or a silencer.

Of course the crime rate was so much higher then than it is currently. /sarcasm

Only those manufactured BEFORE (1987 or 1989). Hang on I'll look up the referenced law.

I looked back on my posts for quite a while and can't find the post with the like to the actual law. Maybe some other Freepers could help me out here.
Anyway, as the correction went, it was 1987 that then President Regan signed into law a ban on private ownership of fully automatic firearms for civilians. Choosing only to ignore the Second Amendment and not the Constitutions ban on ex post facto laws, Firearms manufactured prior to the laws passage are still available (following to rules your mentioned) - although a bit pricey. For example a M-16 went from around $1,000.00 or so to upward of $12,000.00.

He told the crowd that just last week we had intercepted 7500 AK47s off the coast of Vermont.

"We"? Arrrrr, mateys...

When the going gets tough
And the stomach acids flow
The cold wind of conformity
Is nipping at your nose
When some trendy new atrocity
Has brought you to your knees
Come with us, we'll sail the Seas of Cheese...

a ban on private ownership of fully automatic firearms for civilians

Not quibbling here, but if I am able to obtain a Class 3, find the weapon that I want to purchase (even at the inflated price), and but it. They are not banned.

Over regulated, yes. Anti 2nd, yes. Wrong headed, yes.

Banned, no.
