But the 17 I just heard named were ON the committee or were representatvies of the soldiers.

The ones on the committee were the ones who were acting so damn indignant toward Rumsfeld.

Maybe he's on the list. He had basically locked up the nomination at that point- late Dec early Jan. If someone wanted to make trouble for leadership then Kerry would be a good bet. Who better to tell war atrocities to then one who has already committed them?
