My list did not come from Hackworth; it came from the boy's uncle who is representing him as an attorney. He was on the phone with MSNBC.

My list did not come from Hackworth; it came from the boy's uncle who is representing him as an attorney.

That kid would have saved himsef a lot of grief if his blackmailing uncle had only stayed out of this.

This is exactly why doctors don't treat their own family members: The emotions involved can cloud your judgement.

So, the blackmail threat did not work. The U.S. Army refused to drop the charges against his nephew based on the "I was just following orders" Nuremberg excuse and, instead, insisted on the rule of law by completing the UCMJ Article 15 investigation and proceding with plans for court martial. The uncle then followed up on his blackmail threat.

Now what?

Instead of a court-martial without any command influence or political influenza, the uncle has ensured that his nephew in this matter will be tried in an extremely prejudicial atmosphere with every publicity seeking Congressman, Senator, newspaper editor, foreign leader, anti-American political group, the entire Middle East and even honorable U.S. servicemembers whose reputation has been sullied demanding that the abusers be crucified.
