The Senators couldn't play baseball worth a damn. That's why Washington lost the franchise. ;o) No, actually they were just starting to get real good when they left. Bobby Allison, Ted Uhleander, Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva, and may others....at times, in their last season in Washington they resembled a veritable Murderer's Row. Their pitching wasn't that bad. either.
It was unfortunate for Washington fans they left for Minnesota when they did.
CA....

Not to mention violating the civil rights of the accused...
But the Left doesn't really care - particularly if the outcry can undercut the war on terrorism.

"Weren't there courts martial already in progress -- before the photos were leaked?"Yes. The wheels of justice turn very slowly.

Just in case you were wondering, the worst typo I have ever seen here was "superannuated nuclear teaty". No one has topped that one yet.During the 2000 Florida recount, someone--Marylander, IIRC--posted a thread about evidence for Democrats "pooing chads". The word she was looking for was "popping".

Please let Bob Graham and Bill Nelson be on the list?

leaked were part of an ongoing criminal investigation.Sure it was. Sounds like it was going blazingly well. What were they planning on doing to these soldiers? Letting them get out of the Armed Forces to live a long and happy life and perhaps send them a nasty letter twenty years later?

I agree with your take on the situation. If a senator received this information and, upon further inquiry, found out it was already under investigation what were they suppose to do?
To: hchutch
"Not to mention violating the civil rights of the accused..."Yes, they most definitely did.
"But the Left doesn't really care - particularly if the outcry can undercut the war on terrorism."
Yep. Which is why everyone involved in this game needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, "new tone" be damned.

They were going to court martial those who did the actual abuse. I think they should court martial the idiot running the prison at the time, too.
Are you purposely avoiding anything like verifiable news in order to concoct your conspiracy schemes?
