Chris Wallace Leaves me in Tears

Chris Wallace advertised his Sunday news show as a time to put the names of our fallen soldiers in context.
Ted Koppel had simply read the names of the soldiers who have sacrificed all, the last full measure of devotion, for us to live in peace and for the Iraqis to have a unique and blessed chance to find peace and security and democracy. So, Chris Wallace decided to have a show to put those sacrifices in context, and talk about all the good things that the American soldiers had done in Iraq.
So, I tuned in, and I am still sobbing and shaking with anger remembering how he started the show with over fifteen minutes of a rehash of the last 10 days feeding frenzy over the terrible abuses a few soldiers had perpetrated on some Iraqi prisoners.
CONTEXT?!?!
THIS is the context you want me to remember our war dead!!
You garbage, you thoughtless garbage!
I was too upset to watch the "tribute" which came after the filthy trash.
I'll never watch that cruel, demented show ever again.

Amen to that (regarding Cici)
However, all day every day this country is beaten over the head with Anti-military, anti-Bush propoganda. I'm sorry, 10 minutes isn't enough.

Oh how horrible that he is reporting the news!Har - that's what I was thinking...
To: krunkygirl
I thought the tribute to our troops and what they have accomplished was great--just not enough of it, especially after the big build-up.If you missed it Chris Wallace said there will be more of these reports of our troops accomplishments as they come available. The fact is you won't see them on the other networks

understanding of how it must have been like during VietnamThere is a LONG way to go before this is the equal of those horrible days. But you are right you are getting a glimpse and even this much is TOO much. I pray this doesn't continue, my heart says NO MORE, but MY HEAD knows it will, for this is how it started.

Yes, but Fred and/or Brit flanked with Juan and, especially, Cici, is almost too much to bare.

Were we in completely different dimensions? The tribute happened. It listed the accomplishments, such as running water, etc. If anything, I was worried that leftist morons would say that it proves a pro- Republican bias. Then again, I wasn't watching that closely.

Are you sure you listened "carefully"???
When the "Iraq Accomplishment Tribute" segment of the show started, Mr. Wallace read an e mail accusing Fox for being a "front" for the Bush/Cheney White House. He stated that Fox is "Fair and Balanced", and offered the differing opinions in the opening segment as proof. I didn't find the opening segment offensive. John McCain and Evan Bayh expressed their views in a sensitive manner. Senator McCain's words about Pat Tillman were particularly touching. I thought I was up to date on our Iraq accomplishments, but, even I was surprised by some of the information Chris Wallace divulged. It was a GOOD thing for America to hear, and I'm sure MANY people were hearing it for the first time. And I was glad to hear that he intends to continue to make our progress in Iraq a part of his show. I think Fair and Balanced is acceptable. If they would come out with cheerleaders wearing Bush/Cheney buttons, don't you think they would lose credibility?? Sorry to disagree with you, but FOX will continue to be the ONLY news channel I will watch!!

AMEN Brother!
"It is a fact that in the entire Vietnam War we did not lose one major battle.
We lost the war at home and at home John Kerry was the field general"
- Bob Elder, Swift Boat Veteran For Truth
AND FOX, along with the rest of the big 5 liberal media
are trying their best to make it so.

'I know there are others, some already at Fox. I like Brian Wilson and John Gibson, too.'
I love Cal Thomas. His 'Column One' on After Hours has become 'don't miss TV'. I wish John's program was replayed later. I could do without the rerun of O'R.

I look forward to more--thank you Fox for doing what you have done. Fox does set itself apart from the others.
There was so much in this short "report" that it seemed to me each subject touched on could have merited 10 full minutes or more...
To: patriciaruth
I didn't watch it.
In fact, I'm fixin to
quit watching the news
until the media moves on
to another circus.
