OPERATION: "REMEMBER the ACHILLE LAURO"
GOAL: Distract the pro-PLO goon squad
DATE: Sunday, May 9th (Mothers Day)
TIME: 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Watertown Square (corner of Mount Auburn & Main Street/Route 20, accessible via Bus #71 from Harvard Square)
The Arafat-huggers and terror-apologists are at it AGAIN! Tomorrow, they are planning to celebrate Mothers Day (May 9th) by picketing an event called "Shop Israel." This event, taking place at a Hebrew school in Watertown, is a mini-trade show in which vendors of products made in Israel display their wares for one day.
The pro-PLO crowd is going to set up its picket line in Watertown Square between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. tomorrow. If we can round up at least a half a dozen Freepers and Protest Warriors, I suggest that we meet there at 11:00 a.m. and stake out a few strategic locations. What I have in mind is 3 people to hold up flags and signs, 2 people to hand out leaflets to passers-by, and one person to take pictures and/or video. (Of course, if we can get 10 or 20 people their, all the better!).
Regarding signs: There are several relevant poster designs available at www.protestwarrior.com web site; my all-time favorite is "My son blew up a bus full of Israelis, and all I got was this lousy T shirt and $25,000 from Saddam." See also www.standwithus.com
Regarding leaflets: I have several hundred left over from the Hanan Ashrawi event a few days ago that focus on (1) Israel's right to defend itself (2) a comparison of human rights between Israel and the Arab countries.
So, if you are interested in participating in the above festivities, please reply via email ASAP.
P.S. Regarding the aforementioned "goon squad": Our opponents are members of a group called "New England Committee to Defend Palestine." Their usual M.O. (modus operandi) is for one to two dozen protesters to show up carrying hand-lettered signs, PLO flags (black, white, and green stripes plus red triangle) and a bullhorn. Typical venues include the Israeli consulate in Boston and Harvard Square in Cambridge. They spend most of the time shouting their repertoire of rather trite chants in praise of their pantheon of "heroes" (e.g., Amer Jubran) and in damnation of their many enemies (Israel, the U.S.A., President Bush, Attorney General Ashcroft, our armed forces, patriotism, Zionism, et cetera). You can read all about these misfits at http://www.onepalestine.org.

She should be remembered by all tomorrow.
And no one should forget her fifth child.
