After all of the cr@p that Rummy has had to put up with over the past couple of days, I want him to know that he is doing a great job as Secretary of Defense and he is now and always will be one of my favorite people in the George W. Bush Administration.
There are good days and there are rough days, and I want to let Secretary Rumsfeld know that I support him each and every day.
I'm not the most eloquent FReeper out there, but these are my sentiments.

The man belongs in the kitchen, he can take the heat.
His candor and sense of responsibility are palpable.

Secretary Rumsfeld has earned and deserves our support. I hope he will not capitulate to the left and to the terrorists who seek to topple this Administration. God Bless Donald Rumsfeld and the President he serves.

Great thread! I emailed President Bush to thank him for the burdens he and Secretary Rumsfeld bear for us, to tell him we're proud of them and the job they do, and to give them our assurance that they are in our prayers.
President@WhiteHouse.gov Go for it, FReepers! ;-D
Secretary Rumsfeld has done a magnificent job!

We need to compare the pictures of the "abused"prisoners with pictures of Daniel Pearl and the burnt Americans hanging off of a Bagdad overpass.
Do the Dems hate G W Bush so much that they would sacrifice American lives for political gain?

My comments to the Secretary of Defense are as follows. I thank God you are there. You are the right man in the right place at the right time. By the way, how do you listen to all that posturing and stupidity and not just haul back and smack someone?

Rummy didn't personally commit the kinds of atrocities that these soldiers did, nor did he personally do anything contrary to the laws of warfare or violate the Geneva Convention. If he did, he is unfit to hold public office.
Hmmmm... wait a minute...
"...I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50 calibre machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions..."

Do the Dems hate G W Bush so much that they would sacrifice American lives for political gain? I don't know...but it's obvious that they love their own politcal power more than they love America.

I support Rumsfeld. There is NO reason why President Bush needs to dismiss an effective and successful war Secretary.
