It kills me that these grandstanding congressmen act as if they have just heard about the offenses within the week. If I recall correctly, Bret Baier reported on this story back in January on Brit Hume's show. I believe he stated that there were incidents such as the ones in the spotlight this week, that there were photographs, and that there was an investigation that had begun.

1. As another astute freeper pointed out, PIAPS claims that it is her husband's military that won the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. That being the case, it is also her husband's military responsible for the sexual exploitation of these prisoners.

2. Don't know why PIAPS and the RATS are so offended by the pictures -- the images should provide them happy memories of the Oval Office during Clinton's presidency.

Mr. Rumsfeld attended Princeton University on academic and NROTC scholarships (A.B., 1954) and served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as an aviator and flight instructor. In 1957, he transferred to the Ready Reserve and continued his Naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Standby Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and to the Retired Reserve with the rank of Captain in 1989.
