I can understand the soldiers' hatred for what some Iraqis have done to our men, I can totally understand that. But the people who have killed and mutilated and burned and hung are barbarians. We, as Americans and the military, cannot stoop to that level. That is what separates us from the evil that exists over there. My father was a retired Major in the Army, and he would consider the mistreatment of those prisoners unacceptable no matter what. A few bad apples should not spoil the whole bunch.

Much has been said in the Senate committee hearing today about the threat to America's values and moral high ground, which is of paramount importance to our credibility as we take action in the War on Terror.

Perhaps now is the time when more people will see that interpreting our First Amendment to protect pornographers by ignoring the word "speech" and reading into it instead the word "expression" has far-reaching consequences.

In a day when vile stuff is just a mouse-click away on the Internet, and our children need to be shielded from a large percentage of what is broadcast into our homes, which can be tuned into unless blocked (or responsible parents chain themselves to all TV sets), I ask: were those reservists influenced in their growing-up years by the "popular culture" to think that this sort of thing is just harmless fun, as evidenced by the smiles on their faces as they posed with the prisoners for those photos?

The fact that many of our judges strike down attempts to rein in pornographers, and similar low standards in the popular media, weakens our credibility around the world.

It makes our soldiers' efforts to win hearts and minds much tougher, and the efforts of the America-bashers much easier.

We must hold ourselves to a higher standard.

That's why they are pro big-govt, handouts and hate big business. They wouldn't know how to run a business or treat the CEO or what to expect. They don't know what it really means to take ownership. They've mixed this whole thing up. Half of what is being discussed is completely irrelevant. Rummy shouldn't even have to talk about this. It's a criminal investigation and not a problem. It is what it is, I want to know how many problems happened in Kosovo or another war we were involved with. I'm also interested in why our military is taking full heat for outsourced military police. It's a f-ing war guys.. buck up. It's not right, nor pleasant, nor always fair.. Oh yeah, ITs A WAR. A war we will loose due to all this PC crap. Is this putting words to anyone else's anger to today's session? What a complete waste of my tax money. As always.. the people in Congress need to make themselves feel useful (not).



They are all about spin. The Dim's are not leaders, they are followers of the latest trend and feel good thing. I am SOOOO blow away how a little peon like myself can clearly see how you DONT release evidence from an ongoing trial.. this is clearly F-ed up. This is not political -- ok until today.

The rage I feel is so wrong, so I am going to chill out and realize that we're right, they are wrong and it's really sad.
