Hey, FReepers!
I just wanted to convey a message to you all from Sweet Baby James of the Sean Hannity Show -- we've been corresponding back and forth about a few issues.
Anyway, here is what he wrote to me (I told him I'd pass it on):
From Sweet Baby James: Freepers are among most valued contributers to this show, never doubt it.
So, there you go. I hope this puts an end to that issue.

Sean's great! That's why I was surprised and upset to see that FR poll a couple of weeks ago saying he thought Freepers didn't like him. Nothing could be further from the truth! Only 8% said they didn't like him and they, no doubt, were mostly RINOs and DU disruptors. Fourteen percent said Sean was "too commercial," whatever the hell that means. Keep up the good work, Sean!

Knowing SBJ, it is NOT a PR boilerplate. He's the real deal, never doubt it. Ok, guys, that's cool. Glad to hear it's the real deal. I'm not a big fan of Hannity (just personal taste, not politics) but it's good to have him on our side.

"Sean is a good man and it's easy to see that he cares for helpless animals. If he didn't, he would have reached across that desk and choked out that flaming Lib a long time ago. LOL"
LOL for sure. . .and Alan is simply 'hopeless'; sincere but hopeless. Don't know how Sean controls himself; save accepting 'that which he cannot change'. . .

Yeah, I've been an FR connection to Sweet Baby James since the Recount Days. Actually started off with a question, and have sent him stuff from here ever since. I admire him very much , and can state with authority that he's on the right side of the issues. And he admires Sean and his positions.
Yes, we may disagree as far as style, debating techniques, etc. However, Sean's approachability to the average bear is an extremely valuable asset in the fight against creeping leftism in our country. I brought my son to see him in San Jose and was very impressed. He did the entire presentation smoothly, with passion and energy, and most of all, with hope and optimism with the goal of energizing the audience. The place was packed. In San Jose, CA. It was a very good thing. I hope each of those audience members gets a few friends to register, etc.
Just my opinion, but I am not a drooling groupie, either. :-)
Best...

So, an assistant will write it in an e-mail but Hannity slams us on a national BROADCAST?? Not quite EQUAL! Levin is a TON better than Hannity.

Like these repetitions?????????????????Like any and all things he talks about. Plus constantly trying to get others to apologize for something someone else has said and done.

I wouldn't characterized SBJ as "an assistant" - he's the executive producer of the program, and that is *not* chopped liver.

I gladly stand corrected. That said, it doesn't change the impact. A second hand e-mail versus an announcement on a nationally syndicated show - Which would you rather have?
Maybe it's just me...but when a national talk show host takes a shot at FReepers in a somewhat 'crybaby' kinda way, and then tries to appease that audience with an e-mail second hand, I'm a cynic.

I agree. When I was able to get the cable show, I liked it alot. But in radio, I feel Sean (though likeable) is about One hour real show in a 3 hour time slot. He spends a lot of time telling you what is going to come up next (and not doing it) who will be his guest on TV (invariably the guest who is on now the radio show) promoting his book (Sean has a book?) chatting with "listener friends" (I like you, I like you too) and interviewing liberals.
In that amount of time Michael Medved, brain and world's best debater can completely cover 3 serious topics. That might be the difference, I prefer the more serious side and facts, Sean is more relaxed, less poltical enertainment.
BUT Yes, I like him. Yes I listen to his show. Yes, we are on the same side. For goodness sakes, we have different needs on different days - everyone should recognize that and be happy we have so many awesome choices. Each host reaches people, and that increases our chances of taking back this nation (under God!)
So buck up Sean, you are welcome here and we appreciate what you do - to the best of your ability. (And certainly better than what I could do on air!)

OK, thanks, but I just didn't see it as "appeasement." I saw it as a truthful statement from a person I know and trust.
It's Sean's show, and if he gets a burr under his saddle about it, fine. That said, it's damn good to know that Freepers' contributions to the program - even on background - are doing the country good.

Sean spends half his time in show-prep -(is that what it is called?) but I love it when he interviews liberals. He can be a pit-bull with them!
I like Sean -- he has a good memory and doesn't let things pass when he has a point to make. I'm glad he's there fighting for our side.
(and he's cute, too.)

Is there a way to get Sean's attention to a particular fact? I like that he's a bulldog when he's focussed on an issue, but there are times when I think he's missed somethng important.
Two recent examples are the rumors of Iraqi WMD's being what Jordan intercepted (that should be big news to a Conservative!), and the rumor that the US troops who mishandled Iraqi prisoners were mostly Nat'l Guards who are prison guards in civilian life. That should be an interesting story.
You say you've been a connection to SBJ, but do they listen to any other connections?
