Bush fulfills vow to injured GI
Posted on 05/04/2004 8:04:04 PM PDT by Ramtek57
President Bush, fulfilling a 15-month-old promise, jogged around the South Lawn yesterday with a soldier who had been badly wounded in Afghanistan. Attached is a picture of Mike McNaughton. He stepped on a landmine in Afghanistan Christmas 2002. President Bush came to visit the wounded in the hospital. He told Mike that when he could run a mile, that they would go on a run together. True to his word, he called Mike every month or so to see how he was doing. Well, in early April, they went on the run, 1 mile with the president.

This is something you won't see in the biased news agencies.

My son had told me about it, and I looked it up. If it would have been Klinton doing something like this, the biased news agencies would have been tripping all over themselves talking about it.

Who would question this story I wonder? It is vintage Dubya.
Did the libs think the picture was PhotoShopped?
The left never ceases to make me want to puke.

That is the thing I love most about GWB. He keeps his promises and doesn't make nice gestures like this into photo ops.

Probably would have stopped at McDonald's and made a huge spectacle.
To: Ramtek57
Gosh, I must have missed it when the mainstream media covered this story.
Hey---if Kerry becomes president, he could invite wounded vets to the yacht club for a yacht race, or perhaps a game of polo.
