In his new book "Rewriting History," longtime aide to Bill and Hillary Clinton, Dick Morris reveals that he's guarded a secret about the Whitewater scandal for nearly a decade that could have led to Clinton's removal from office.
"What I was not talking about and have not for eight years is an incident that took place in 1996," he told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" on Tuesday.
Morris alleged that Clinton improperly influenced U.S. District Court Judge Henry Woods to dismiss Whitewater charges against then-Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker, who had threatened to go public about Hillary's involvement in the fraudulent Castle Grande land deal.
After Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno ruled that Starr had jurisdiction over Tucker's involvement in Whitewater, Tucker was "furious," said Morris.
Using Morris as a go-between, Tucker sent a warning: "Tell the president that if that SOB wants to play the game this way, I know all about the IDC," the formal business name for Castle Grande.
When Morris passed on the threat to Clinton, "he turned white as a sheet."
"Clinton sat down, put his head in his hands and said, 'Oh my God, do you know what he means?"
Morris said he replied, "No, but I think you know what he means."
Later that night, Morris said Clinton told him, "I took care of that problem today." Three weeks later Judge Woods tossed out the Tucker indictment.
Though the case was later reinstated, Tucker never followed through on his threat, which, according to Morris, could have precipitated perjury and fraud charges against Hillary.

At the risk of being banned, I just feel compelled to point out that Morris being a toe-sucking putz is better than being a putz-sucking toe...

What else does Morris know that he might be saving for a later book? Maybe something about good old Vince Foster?? Hope he lives long enough to reveal it.

Banned?..No way...Btw, speaking of being banned..one of my all time favorite threads was when Laz got suspended by Jim for three days, under what I thought was a "quick whistle" to sue the sports metaphor. Anyways, , I posted a vanity thread respecting JIm's right to suspend anyboy, but offering to serve out the suspension for Laz...it got over a thousand replies....was wild..even got JI to "smile" on the thread...

Now that Morris is out of favor with Democrats, he goes public. Of course, now that he's selling a book. Thanks for nuthin' Dick, and about 8 years too late...

It seems to me that just about everyone knew about this quite some time ago, but the press naturally helped sweep it under the rug. If Dickie Morris had come out with it back then, it might have made a little difference. But more likely he would have wound up in a cell with Webb Hubbell.

I've said before and will again that clinton could have raped a nine year old girl on the White House lawn on national television and his impeachment would still never have ended in conviction. Democrat senators would have still said he was the greatest of them all and Arlen Specter would have asked if such activity were considered illegal in Scotland.

LOL.
I once offered to make a sizeable contribution to FR in exchange for a lifting of someone's (who shall remain nameless!) suspension.
