Watch for the left to start demanding the President sign on to the ICC garbage. This must be resisted.

This is crap! A reprimand is not enough, this was caused by a failure of leadership! Everyone from the Brigadier General down should be court marshaled. I can't speak for the army, bit in the Marine Corps it is drilled into our Brain-Housing Groups from day one in recruit training that we do not mistreat prisoners. There is no excuse for what happened in that prison. A message needs to be sent that this will not be tolerated even if it means sending a General Officer to jail. That is the only way to do this right. Reprimand my ass!! (Rant Off)

Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski, who oversaw the prison, said on ABC's "Good Morning America" that she did not know about the prisoner abuse while it was happening. "They were despicable acts," Karpinski said Monday. "Had I known anything about it, I certainly would have reacted very quickly." Karpinski, commander of the 800th Military Police Brigade, said that in one photograph from the prison, there appeared to be more Americans involved in the alleged abuse than the six MPs who have already been charged.

It was only a matter of time before an honorable soldier reported these incidents. As far as Karpinsi is concerned, does anyone know her resume?

Of the photos I saw on FNC, most were of a woman with a big grin on her face, pointing to mens private parts.

Amazing. What they did was wrong and they should be punished.

But, I am sick and tired of the Arab media and their pals in the US leftist media whining about all this. They showed the murder, burning and hanging up of bodies by their Religion of Peace pals, and yell outrage at this? They can kiss my red, white and blue ass! It is time to make a parking lot out of that sticking hole. The loss of another soldier or Marine is not worth a thousand of them in my book! To hell with that stink hole.

The female in the photo was not just pointing to his privates he was being forced to masturbate. What these few did was wrong, even stupider was to have a camera handy.

"investigations of the officers were complete and they would not face further action or court martial."

There had better be Courts Martial, convictions and years in the Brig. This is serious stuff, and we must set a standard.

It is your job to know, Ma'am. I trust you will be dishonorably discharged.

I am so angry at these soldiers for their actions. Their treatment of the prisoners is immoral. This crew is not representative of our military. They need to be drummed out, court martialed and all benefits yanked form them. Our military is made up of a better class of people then this group, and we need to be very clear in demanding that they face full and severe repercussion for their actions just out of respect to the true character of all the rest of the troops out there.

I may be out of line, but I think this issue is being WAY overblown. What these soldiers did was moronic and probably set our victory in this war back a few months. They need to be severely punished. But with that said, we (conservative media/talk radio included) are talking it to death. It's kinda like the "body count". It's awful, but let's don't dwell on it. We have a war to win. Feel free to flame. I have on my asbestos suit. *grin*

There is more to this than meets the eye. I'm guessing that these guys were humiliating the jihadis under orders or w/ tacit approval from intelligence types.

What they did was wrong, on the other hand how much information was obtained as the result of such treatment. I may not like it, it may not be human but neither is the treatment they gave to our guys taken as POW's.

A jihadist is one who engages in the jihad against non Muslims(America, Britain, Israel, Italy, et al) or those Muslims who don't see things their way.

If President Bush wants to win this election, he needs to make this the biggest problem of the month. He needs to go over there and demand that heads "roll". He needs to be ANGRY! This is big enough to put the campaign on hold. This is atrocious.
