This is good news. We needed this. Mississippi is a good place with a wonderful history that gets trashed daily. Macon is ecstatic!!
To: SunnyUsa
Hamill's pastor is on Fox right now. He sounds elated!

OK...Julian is interviewing the pastor and is NOW ASKING HIM ABOUT THE POWER OF PRAYER!!!! This is most excellent, even though I usually slam Julian.
To: Miss Marple
No slams for Julian this morning. He sounds well-grounded in his faith.

I agree. This would NEVER be discussed on any other channel. They are also giving the pastor time to talk about God being in control in all situations, etc.
Just when I get exasperated at Fox, they remind me why they are so much better than other news outlets.
To: prairiebreeze
In Kimmit's statement, he said Hamill wants to go back to work. I hope that "work" is back in Macon, Mississippi!

"Just when I get exasperated at Fox, they remind me why they are so much better than other news outlets." Ditto Miss M.
Fox at their worst is still better than all the others at their "best".

My goodness. The problem is though, that I think it was that reason that he went to Iraq in the first place...employment.

perhaps we are negotiating with kidnappers (Got your tin foil hat ready?)
I don't mean to be so absolutely abundantly cynical about such great news, but since the beginning something about this guy has been a little off. I mean, first we have Kerry saying that people here in the states have to join the military because they can't find work here. Then this guy disappears. Reason? Iraq was the only place he could get work. Then Jesse Jackson steps in on his behalf. There's just something wierd. Now he just escapes? Just like that? I'm sure Jesse Jackson will claim victory.
Please don't flame me. I just heard his pastor on Fox and I know that good people have been praying for him. My own Sunday school class has prayed for him every week. I guess I am just posing the questioncould this guy be be some sort of political statement for the left? I guess the next few days will tell, especially if Jesse or Kerry try to make political hay over him.

"This is spectacular! I've been praying so hard for him"
me too!
Thank you God! This is so great!
Talk about the best thread to see first thing in the morning.

Then Jesse Jackson steps in on his behalf. I have read no reports that this was the case. Although Jesse will try to take credit for it, as others have pointed out.
