I attempted to listen to Garafalos "majority report" just to see what this station was up to.

It was truly painful to listen to an hour of no talent libs with no ideas pretend that they are political and broadcast experts.

And the commercials for vegetable oil diesel and such were soooooo ridiculous

I expected Err America to implode; I just didn't think it would implode so quickly.

American media is primarily liberal. American universities are primarily leftist. American entertainment is primarily leftist.

Conservative talk radio rose in popularity because it is a beacon of free thought in the middle of this broad sea of liberalism. There was a need for independent voices in a society in which all information is channelled through liberal/leftist outlets.

Where is the need for a liberal radio station? Why did the leftists even think of it? Not because there is a need. Obviously there is no true need. They thought of it because they are losing the arguments on the issues. They blame conservative talk radio for "hijacking the issues".

What the liberals and left refuse to understand is that conservative talk radio hosts are popular because they are winning the arguments.

Liberal radio as a whole is unlistenable. Even Ed Schultz, although not part of the roster of Err America, is unlistenable. Al Franken is trying to copy O'Reilly, and Ed Schultz is trying to mimic Rush Limbaugh, and both are unlistenable and complete failures.

As an aside, I have since revised my dead pool prediction to May 19th, in hopes that DISH Network will not have to carry Err America on their DISH Network satellite system starting May 20th.

Ten of twelve Air America hosts – or 83 percent - are white.
Contrast that to Rush Limbaugh’s guest hosts, who are 67 percent white and tell me who is racist.

Interesting.

Lizz Winstead and Rachel Maddow speak with the soft-spoken, quasi-intellectual tones that characterize NPR

There's nothing worse. Nothing. I'd rather spend a sunny Saturday afternoon hanging out at the library with a feminist librarian.

Conservative talk radio became popular because conservative voices really are suppressed (or were, until Fox News) in the media, in entertainment, in the universities.

Do the liberal-leftists really believe that their voices are actually suppressed anywhere in America? If they actually believe that, then they are actually even more stupid than I thought.

It will die sometime before the elections if those financing it ever understand that if no one is listening then no one is hearing and no one is getting any benefit of the proffered wisdom. Tese people may or may not understand such nuances at all. I suspect there are strategy sessions going on about how to break the stranglehold of the Big Right Wing Industrialists on the mass of listeners. The idea that those masses just don't want to listen is a very difficult concept to swallow. That is just not how it works at all. In their reality all things are controlled by some group of powerful people,Industrialists or the enlightened elite (liberals) or whatever. People listen to Rush because the VRWC makse them listen.

I can't help but wonder, sam, if the problem that liberals have is that they can't believe they do not have the right answers, so, if conservatives are making headway, it must be because their "message" is getting bottled up some where, rather than what is the fact, which is that they are wrong and their message of "more government all the time" and "if you have a problem, you need government to solve it" is being rejected by many.

Leno remarked, "According to the New York Times, a group of liberal venture capitalists are in the process of developing their own liberal radio network to counter conservative shows like Rush Limbaugh.

"They feel the liberal viewpoint is not being heard -- except on TV, in the movies, in music, by comedians, magazines and newspapers. Other than that, it's not getting out!"

:^)
