"Our goal is to continue to pressure Sadr to understand that we are not going away," said Colonel Brad MayI tried that strategy once with a nest of fire ants, and eventually concluded that there are some things which cannot peacefully coexist.

Seriously doubt that the houses were empty based upon prior videos of Specter's in action.
Reuters continues to be the Pravda for the religion of peace

Another "news service" announced : "US Gunships Shatter Fragile Fallujah Truce" (!)
If there are people in Fallujah bitching about this,we need to call in a second strike ASAP.

".....Unless this standoff is brought to a resolution through peaceful means, there is great risk of a very bloody confrontation," envoy Lakhdar Brahimi told the United Nations.....

Seriously doubt that the houses were empty based upon prior videos of Specter's in action. Yup! Any video I have ever seen of Spectres in action shows little white dots running around...and then they just sort of disappear in a brilliant flash. Even when they don't actually kill the bad guys, they ruin their day. A Spectre can destroy an entire parking lot full of vehicles (armored, or not)in about 15 seconds.

I really have to wonder why anyone, liberal or otherwise, is quoting any United nations official about anything. Dont they read any more?
The defunct and debunked "Oil for Food" program has severely damaged the UNs overall reputation and I dont want to guess what the Iraqis think about it. When you look at almost every UN Operation that hasnt had active US support you find a tail of greed and failure.
The present UN leadership created this, profited by this problem, and are now trying to hide this problem. They are behaving like an unhousebroken kitten trying to hide an accident on a kitchen floor.
The key to the UNs survival is to seize control of Iraqi before the Oil for Food investigation goes any farther. If they do so then all of the detailed documentation (blackmail) will suddenly disappear.
Do I dare hope that Oil for Food will become the UNs Ethiopia?

They need to play "Happy Birthday" on loud speakers connected to Cobra Helicopters (Akin to "Apocalypse Now") then blow out all the candles in the city.

This mornings radio news (on the local Gulf Coast 60's-70's oldies station)had a USMC Staff Sergeant on for a brief comment "We are just playing paddy-cake with them now, just wait...."
Talk about a class act.

About 115 U.S. soldiers have been killed this month alone, compared with fewer than 100 in the three weeks it took to oust Saddam. In all, 523 have been killed since they invaded Iraq.
Can't forget this in every article!
