Kerry accepted an invitation to speak from Westminster President Fletcher Lamkin, Kerry spokesman Bill Burton said. Lamkin said Monday he was inviting Kerry out of fairness following Cheney's visit.

Well I hope he goes to Montana, as the headline indicates. Not many libs there. Westminster College is in Fulton Missouri, which is were VP Cheney spoke.

Missouri bump.

Incidentally, Westminster is where Winston Churchill delivered his famous Iron Curtain speech in 1946.

If he were to visit, the "Ketchup Poodle" wouldn't find many friendly faces up here in Big Sky country. We have the second highest percentage of veterans of all the states (Alaska's first) Most of us earned our medals. We all own guns and we hate eastern stuck-up libs. (We can barely tolerate our home-grown ones like Baucus)

Lamkin expressed disappointment after the Cheney speech, telling students and faculty in an e-mail Monday that he had been told Cheney would deliver a "major foreign policy address" and was unhappy with what he called "Kerry-bashing."

So Kerry didn't offer any criticism of Bush on his recent college tour? Isn't that where he introduced his bogus "new & improved misery index"?

Montana, Missouri, whatever. To the Boston Globe, anything west of Worcester is irrelevant, and the minor detail of exactly which of those states out in flyover country contains that little non-Ivy college is of no concern to them.

Fortunately, the disdain flows in both directions.

OMG...you're right! The headline you posted IS the same as what the Glob printed!

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm originally from MA (blushing), but moved to MO in 1997. Trust me, most people in MA don't even know where MO is...never mind MT!

Here's a plan -

VP Cheney should schedule a 3 week "Campus Tour" to every solid Bush/Cheney state and give the same speech!

Then each campus can invite Le-Kerry to visit also.

It would screw his schedule, burn is funds and would have ZERO to gain from it!

Keep hitting him! Cheney speech was GREAT! I watched it twice is was so good. Reaction from those in the audience was extremely positive.

Let's email him and let him know what the citizens of Free Republic think about him disparaging the VP.
