this sounds like some kind of publicity stunt - never heard of their site?
I thought it was an airline "air america?"

In Chicago, the network pulled its morning shows off the air Monday, replacing them with music and a periodic promotional message telling listeners how to hear the network over satellite radio and the Internet. Cohen said he wanted to inform listeners where to find Air America in case a new station isn't lined up by Friday. Are they paying royalties for the music? I think they should be reported to ASCAP or BMI or whoever it is to make sure they are paying for playing non-stop music. If they Girl Scouts got hassled, so should these fools.

My hunch is he didn't pay that bill either and the whole site got pulled down.

The cleaning lady probably pulled the server's plug out while vacuuming, and the VRWC put her up to it. I was the one who paid off their cleaning lady (in non-consecutive unmarked bills) to do whatever it is he's claiming we did to him.

I think he's talking about me. Three weeks back, the Air America web site was posted on a "site of the day" page, and I had freepers freep the poll on its "coolness." On a scale of 1 to 10, we got it down to a 3.

As I see it he didn't accuse Free Republic, he accused members of Free Republic. I would think that legally the website doesn't have a case? Unless he named someone....
