In an interview published Friday in the LOS ANGELES TIMES, Dem presidential hopeful John Kerry claimed he "never ever implied" that he threw his own medals on the Hill in 1971 to appear as an antiwar hero -- but a new shock video shows John Kerry's saying he did!
ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA is set to rock the political world Monday morning with an airing of Kerry's 1971 boast, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

UPDATED 4.23.04 RIGHTWING FICTION: John Kerry threw away his medals during a Vietnam war protest. FACT: John Kerry is proud of the work he did to end the Vietnam war. The Nixon Administration made John Kerry one of its targets and Kerry's rightwing opponents have been smearing him ever since. John Kerry threw his ribbons and the medals of two veterans who could not attend the event, and said I am not doing this for any violent reasons, but for peace and justice, and to try to make this country wake up once and for all. [Tour of Duty, Douglas Brinkley] Read more about John Kerry's medals.

He may have replacement medals hanging on his wall.
My grandfather lost his Purple Heart, and he was able to get another. I only know this because when he died, we found the original that was in a haggard old box and a shiny new one.
He had his PH from losing a leg in WWII. Not a Bacitracin type of wound.

Hillary is not running......what we are seeing is her weakening Kerry to the point he is unelectable. Hillary will not risk a run against a sitting President when she can wait until '08 for a free field.
She can't have Kerry winning.....so she leaked this to Drudge.

I'd be willing to bet money that the Kerry camp is, at this very moment, putting pressure on GMA not to air the video tomorrow morning. Furthermore, the leftists in the media, being shameless, will oblige.I'd bet cash money you're right.
Old Media is so predictable. It's not even fun to bet what they'll do anymore.

I believe he did throw someone else's medals. Given his ambitions, I don't believe for a second Effin would have parted with those them.
For years and years the conventional story that floated around was that Kerry had thrown his own medals. Then, once elected to the Senate, the medals were framed and hung on his office wall.
Eventually a reporter noticed it and asked him about it. Only then (about 8 years ago?) did he change the story and said he'd thrown medals belonging to a couple of wounded vets who couldn't come on their own. There have been several interviews with former members of the VVAW who said Kerry was really opposed to doing the medal-toss.When they insisted on doing the toss, I think he bought some old medals or convinced someone else to swap out with him. We never heard the ribbons-instead-of-medals story until recently.
Today, when libs write their articles on Kerry's antiwar activities, they gloss over the times he let people think he'd thrown his own medals. It's never mentioned. Very interesting if ABC runs with this.

Kerry still has his own medals.....he showed them to a Boston Globe reporter back in 1996 I think.....when he ran against Weld. This may explain why Lehman signed the citations for the Silver and Bronze Stars. They were replacement medals. He actually did throw his own medals away.

Threw medals? You must be mistaken, he never threw any medals, maybe YOU threw those medals, you ever think about that? Maybe it was MATT DRUDGE who threw those medals, not John Kerry...is it me, or is it him? It's him, isn't it?

Why can't he jus tell the truth ? Because he's a DemocRAT, that's why. They can't handle the truth.
It's like Ann Coulter said a couple of months ago:
Liberals simply can't grasp the problem Lexis-Nexis poses to their incessant lying.

The other was a Bronze Star handed over by a World War II veteran at a Massachusetts fundraiser an incident also recalled by Gregory. Kerry never asked their names.Did vets at that time normally give their medals away willy-nilly and if so why would Kerry bother keeping them? I suspect he actually threw pop bottle tops.
To: Irene Adler
SOMETHING is going on, but what? I blame it all on the VETs. The one around here REALLY do not want Kerry as the CIC. The dems are furious that it appears he'll get the nomination, because they know he's absolutely not presidential material. What they don't realize is it appears he already has the votes.

ROTFLOL! That's exactly what I was thinking.
Must be Hillary has decided to pull the plug on the slug. I say that because ABC is more likely to do whatever Bill and Hillary want. It's ABC who is hiding the "intern" video.

Kerry detoured from his vacation to meet with South and North Vietnamese delegates to the Paris peace talks. How a 26-year-old private citizen without a political track record connected with the negotiators is unclear. It's very unclear and nigh on impossible, so how did he?
To: Nexus
I could not swear to it because it was so long ago, but I think I recall one of the major networks showing it. It was either that or a still photo.
