Kerry detoured from his vacation to meet with South and North Vietnamese delegates to the Paris peace talks. How a 26-year-old private citizen without a political track record connected with the negotiators is unclear. It's very unclear and nigh on impossible, so how did he?

He already had an "in" with the N. Vietnamese.
Manchurian candidate, anyone?

Kerry's website lists his military service as 1966-70 active duty and 1972-78 Reserves. In 1972 he shifted from inactive to standby Reserves. I don't think it is an oversight that Kerry conveniently doesn't account for his military status during the period 1970-1, the period of his antiwar activities.

It's very unclear and nigh on impossible, so how did he? Did Kerry get/have high level VietNamese access through his French connections/relatives??
