Call him, Florida Freepers! Remind him that you know of his ties to the Hospice Industry...
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=35161 ..."According to his website, King is a member of the Florida Hospice Board of Directors and the Florida Task Force on Government-Financed Health Care, and is a recipient of the Hospice Hall of Fame Award.
Last year he wrote an amendment to the Advanced Directives Law expanding the definition of "proxy."...

To my knowledge there is no such word as WITHDRAAN.
Do you mean 'withdrawn' as in 'removed' or 'pulled out'?

SEBESTA is from Terri's district. He's an okay guy and helped me with a condo problem before. But, Jim King apparently runs the show and says who eats and who starves.

Looks like Little (little in character only) Jimmy King has sold his soul...
I wonder how much he got for it, and exactly who paid the bill?

I find the withdrawal of this bill neither surprising nor terribly discouraging. From what I remember, the bill represented a substantial change to the existing laws, when the problem isn't that the current laws are bad but rather that they're being flouted.
The critical issue in Terri's case is not whether Terri must be fed, but rather whether an openly-adulterous spouse who has openly declared that he wants his wife dead should be considered a suitable guardian for that wife. To be sure, the feeding issue has been urgent, but the guardianship issue is and remains critical. While Terri is in Michael's clutches, she won't be safe regardless of what the court decides on the feeding issues. Once she's rescued, she won't be in danger regardless of what the court decides on the feeding issue.

Email and fax on the way when I log off.
I'll make sure to note that I am not a Floridian -- because this issue will not be allowed to be confined within the state borders. Even though the press isn't saying much, he and his actions are getting much national attention via the net. I suggest that any non-Floridian tell him that politicians whose actions endanger Terri or others like her can expect lots of out-of-state campaign contributions to their opponents.

I wonder if he didn't just donate it, rather than sell it.

Thanks for supplying the addresses and phone numbers.
Following is the E-Mail I just sent:
Senator King,
With all due respect do you realize that the entire country, no, the entire world looks at Florida and
the corruption that lives within. And that you are first and foremost concerned with your legacy!
Do not play God or God will reward you with his justice.
Resubmit Bill 692 and see to it that it passes. We are all watching to see what transpires and will
act accordingly. If you choose the wrong decision, I will do all in my power to see that you are
never elected to another office whether it be in Florida or anywhere in the United States!
Sincerely,
Me

DEMONSTRATION NOTICE
Bradford County Citizens Hold Rally along SR 301 in Starke to Denounce Michael Schiavo's on going attempt to have his disabled wife's (Terri Schiavo's) feeding tube pulled.
On April 24, 2004, beginning at 8 o'clock am., and lasting until 5 o'clock p.m., local residents will hold protest in front of the Bradford County Courthouse located at SR 301 in Starke, Florida
Why? Terri Schiavo has no living will. In other words, Michael Schiavo (Who has been living with a woman for about 8 yrs, and has two children with that woman), visa Attorney George Felos , is using the Florida Judicial System to redefine the word "dead" to include his brain injured wife.(There are presently 25,000 human beings, living throughout our country, who are in the same situation as Terri Schiavo.)

I started calling the numbers you provided, but it didn't seem like they were listening.
Maybe we need someone, who can summarize the abuse and the reasons for initiating the investigations, write a letter to the various agencies that we can all sign.
The website at the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission indicates a letter is needed to start the procedure for investigating a judge. We need to send the letters certified so that the various groups can't claim they never received the letter.
I think the petition letters need a thread all their own and a place we can sign our names.
If there is no answer to the letters, then we can go to the media about the lack of interest by government agencies that are suppose to protect the vulnerable citizens.
