NFL Network to provide expanded draft coverage

___________

Okay Canteeners!!

Here's your chance to let us know who you think will be drafted first. How about your first round draft picks?

Why would you choose those players?

Let us know on the threads and we'll see who is right next week.

Good luck and have fun!!

Philip Rivers

nav

Sources: Clarett ruling expected before draft
An U.S. Supreme Court Justice is expected to rule before the draft on whether the stay issued by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals should be lifted.

Clayton: The blueprint
Heavy emphasis is placed on free agency, but winning teams are generally built through the draft.

Pasquarelli: Rich get richer
With Corey Dillon added to the backfield, the Patriots will use the upcoming draft to add depth on both sides of the ball.

Clayton: Easier said than done
There's always plenty of draft trade speculation, but usually very little movement in switching selections.

FReeper Canteen Support The Troops

If you would like to help our wounded military personnel in Iraq, please click this link to read from yesterday's thread.

For more detailed information on how you can help, please FReepmail MoJo2001. Thank you.

If you have ever noticed there are many links provided below the daily threads in the COMMENTS BOX. These links are provided daily as a service to lurkers, Canteeners, military personnel, and their families. We encourage everyone to click on the links. You never know what you can find out there.

The difference between doing something and not is no longer an excuse. If you don't have the money, that's okay. There are many military members that would just appreciate an email or a letter encouraging them. It isn't rocket science. It just takes you and a little bit of your time. How expensive is that? Nada.

The rewards are priceless. The effect on that military member could be more than you can ever imagine. So? Don't procrastinate. Get out there and make a difference for one of our Troops.

"Just out of curiosity, say someone wanted to rig a pig, how would one go about it? Do you need a big jig to rig a pig?"

"PigRigger" derives from the Pig Latin term "Piggae Riggae". It is most commonly used to describe 15-20 friends (only guys, aka the Pigs) who annually get together for a weekend, travel to distant lands, camp and take in a minor baseball game. The mode of transportation is is several cars following the mother ship (an RV referred to as the Rig).

The pilgrimage is in its 13th year and still going strong. We have several generations of Pig represented, unfortunately the youngest generation (mine) has failed to produce male offspring. Thus, the tradition may be coming to a screeching end in about 25-30 years or so.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

Today's FEEBLE

YOKE:

More than anything, Radix wanted to be a cowpoke. Taking pity on him, a rancher decided to hire Radix and give him a chance.

"This," he said, showing him a rope, "is a lariat. We use it to catch cows."

"I see," said Radix, trying to seem knowledgeable as he examined the lariat. "And what do you use for bait?"
