President Bush headed to Buffalo, NY today to discuss Homeland Defense and specifically, the Patriot Act. Bush made his case that if parts of the Act expire, it could weaken our homeland defense. The President then headed to NYC for a victory luncheon fundraiser. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura headed to Louisville, KY to attend and award ceremony. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

BTW LIR did you tell Chads that I posted a comment to him about the parody on Rush's show about Kerry's flip-flops?

I can see it now. While all you songbirds are singing God's praises I'll be stuck in the back row with a Triangle because I can't carry a tune and God has sensitive ears.

Oh, what did Rush do with the flip-flops? I'm thinking of buying a bunch for the party.

Have you forgotten that we will be perfect in heaven so our voices will be perfect also. I am looking forward to that day also.
I can't carry a tune in a bucket with the lid shut. I get nudged in church for singing off key by my hubby.

Well, now.....you can sit there with Karen Hughes.
She'd be great company, and according to her own assessment of the situation, she can't sing either. ;o)

Go to Rush's website to listen to the song "Kerry, Baby can you Flip-Flop Tonight".

Hahaha. I hadn't thought of that. I just assumed that we are gifted in certain ways and even Heaven can't change it. Maybe I'm wrong. I thought I was the only one who got nudged in church for singing off key.

On second thought, Laura's WAY more polite than I am, so she might just sit there and smile.........

Oh, that's right. I adore Karen Hughes. When Dubya came to Huntington in 2000 I went to the rally. Afterward as I was walking back to my car, Karen walked by me. She made direct eye contact, smiled and spoke very pleasantly as if I were an old friend. I liked her instantly.

You know that you can't sing when your two year old covers your mouth and requests that you don't sing. Both of my boys requested that Mom not sing while they were toddlers. I was crushed to say the least.

She's another one I'd love to meet. I'm reading her book now, and the more I read, the more I like her.
What a Godly group of people the President has chosen to surround himself with!

That sounds like Karen too. "Mommy, don't sing."
That would be a bit disconcerting (no pun intended).
Well gotta get to bed now. It's been fun! GOOD NIGHT, all!

I want that book. I'll get it eventually. Just have to wait for the price to come down at the Conservative Book Club. I can get Shawn Hannity's book for $9.95 now. I was heartbroken when Karen went back to Texas. I thought that she was the glue of his administration. I'm so happy that she will be helping again. She is a genius at campaigning, and the most effective spokeperson for Dubya. I wish she could be his press agent.

If I will be able to sing the praise I feel in my heart then I'm ready to go.
