Two of the most absurd notions of our time are "white male guilt" and "hate crimes" (which surprise, surprise only seems to be discussed when ever there's even a slight hint a crime was committed by a white person upon a minority......and ALMOST NEVER brought up when it's black on white).

This silliness is rampant on our college campuses, that's for sure. But it's even seeping down into our grade schools. My daughter brought home a sheet from her elementary school at the start of the school year that was headlined "It takes an entire village to educate a child"; it was addressed to "Dear Patron" (not parent/guardian); and it was larded with a lot of P.C. catchphrases and nonsense. And my kids informed me that Dodge Ball, Red Rover, Tag, and hide n' go seek had all been formally banned on the playground, because (they were told) someone always felt "left out" or "excluded" when those games where played. Truly disgusting.

I wish the author had expanded his answer. Should I be allowed to marry the person I'm currently dating..if they're a corpse? OK, assuming they're not a corpse, what about if they're already married? And, their current spouse isn't in the loop? Does that matter?

In this country, we once practiced slavery which meant that whites (and also freed blacks) owned black slaves. Then, between 1861 and 1865, 600,000 whites died in the process of freeing them. Some whites look back at slavery and feel guilt about it. What good does that accomplish? I never enslaved anyone. It’s preposterous. Slavery was a great evil that affected all cultures across the globe but was not a “white” or European phenomenon. Nowadays if you want to find slaves and slavery you’d have to visit an African place like the Sudan. It’s been banished from all parts of the western world.

It isn't just the white male who has been made to feel guilty, though he has been the main target. Prosperous whites and whites generally, of either sex, have been made to feel guilty just for being white and missing what leftist describe as the miserable black experience.

Oh dear, something else for me to be paranoid about. I'm going to fail White Male Guilt 101 because I just don't feel any guilt about any of this crap.

Black, white green or polka-dotted, we're all just trying to survive and, for my part, I have neither the time, money or inclination to put anyone else down for the sake of my "whiteness". I have tried to focus on the content of people's character, NOT the color of their skin.

Your article inspired me to jot down this poem while I blocked out my feminazi teacher during "Sociology" (ie. It's always the white majority's fault) class.

There are so many liberals who say
that they have discovered a way
to blame modern white men for oppression back then
and through affirmative action make pay

They will tax all the money you earn
so minority members won't learn
that you must do work to gain--not just collect and complain--
the privileges for which you yearn

This is just my bored doodle, but I hope it reminds people that there are still female college students out there who won't be brainwashed by a modern liberal education!
