The DC Chapter of Free Republic set up a Viet-Cong Vets for Kerry bake sale in front of Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry's national headquarters in Washington DC this afternoon. The Kerry campaign responded by calling the D.C. police to shut down the bake sale.
When the D.C. police arrived they ordered the DC Chapter to shut down the protest in 15 minutes or they would ticket them for occupying a public space without a permit. At that point the police would then disperse them themselves.
Due to the short notice, and the fact that it would be a small group, the DC Chapter did not apply for a permit.
Kristinn is scheduled to appear on Fox News this afternoon for an in-studio interview. The interview should air sometime between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm today. As more details become available, they will posted here.
Kudos to those that attended. The honor roll is Kristinn, Angelwood, TGSLTakoma, TBP, Trueblackman, and Staytrue.

I would imagine at a Kerry Bake Sale everything would be a little doughy, you know, half baked.

The Kerry campaign responded by calling the D.C. police to shut down the bake sale.
LOL...sounds like Kerry's people intend to run a very heavy-handed form of government.

Knowing how careful Kristinn and the D.C. Chapter are about getting permits, I suspect that cop was WRONG.

If Kerry and the RATS had been smart, they'd have come out and bought some cookies and engaged in lighthearted banter. But no, Botoxboy doesn't mingle with the 'little people', unless he absolutely has to. What a maroon.

Thanks for the ping.
Maybe it was one of those vendors, set up on every corner, who complained?

By shutting down the bake sale, the Kerry folks seem to have given more publicity to this bake sale than it ever would have had near Kerry campaign headquarters! I hope Fox News gives the menu. That was great.
