9/11 Commissioner Caught in Conflict of Interest
Speaking on his radio program Friday, talk show host Rush Limbaugh predicted 9/11 Commissioner and former Clinton Administration operative Jamie Gorelick would not resign her post despite the rising tide of criticism and questions over a potential conflict of interest.
"Gorelick won't resign because she has been ordered to protect Clinton, Reno and the Democrats," said Limbaugh.
Gorelick's problems emerged on Tuesday when Attorney General John Ashcroft declassified a Justice Department memo (PDF) written by Gorelick in 1995 in her capacity as Deputy Attorney General under the Clinton Administration. The memo mandated a policy that would have made it legally impossible for U.S. intelligence services to investigate the 9/11 plot while it was unfolding. Ashcroft's revelations of the memo's existence surprised committee members and the families of the 9/11 victims.
"And that's why she needs to resign," said Limbaugh."Not because she's investigating herself, not because she was in the DOJ when this all happened. Because she concealed information from them. And the information she concealed goes right in line with her purpose there: to protect Bill Clinton and the Clinton administration from anything that happens." "She's on that commission for a reason, and it isn't because of her brilliant legal mind," a former DNC and Clinton White House staffer told the American Spectator. "She's there to make sure Bush and his team look as bad as possible and to protect the Clintons and Reno."
According to the Spectator article, 9/11 Commission chairman Gov. Tom Kean and House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Sensenbrenner have asked Gorelick if she would consider resigning her post on the Commission. Gorelick has so far resisted calls for her departure despite demands from 9/11 family members that she step aside and take the stand as a witness.
"This is a partisan commission," Limbaugh charged. "...they tried to get Gorelick to resign, and she will not go.... She's got to protect Reno, the Clintons, and the Democrats."

Of course she's gonna protect her rapist benefactor, the disgraced X42, but I doubt she will be able to hurt the Bush campaign anymore than the 'Commission' already has. The Dem's have used the 'Commission' from day one to pin 911 on Bush. Even though it has failed miserably, they got free air time to pitch their bile... a victory in itself. Thomas Kean is a sad Republican excuse of a co-chair. The other Republican members have displayed the aggressiveness of a French POW.
The Dem's have rallied to Gorelick's side like shit flies to a turd and Kean's indifference is appalling. Other than Sensenbrenner and Delay, the Republican party doesn't have the stomach to kick her out. How the Dems are allowed to get away with this while 'Republicans' control the House and Senate is a crying shame!

WE need to put pressure on the Dems and on the committe itself.
Find the threads, call the numbers. Call Dashcle. Call Kerrey, call the New School for Social Research in NYC.
We, of the VRWC, need this dames scalp. Figuratively speaking, of course!

"Rush is wrong, wrong, wrong.
She won't resign because SHE WROTE THE BOOK.
If we only had a copy of Gorelick's book "Destruction of Evidence"
we NEVER would have gotten fired."

Sensenbrenner is not a Freeper. Of course, you would sit back and not react if the tables were turned. As far as I'm concerned you're just making a post to spread your lies and talking points. It won't fly here so go back to DU!

Oh, please. Go back to whatever place you used to hang out.
As we can see from the declassified PDB there was NOTHING that had anything to do with stopping 9/11.
It doesn't matter how much information the White House would have given them; they would simply have griped about something else.

No clintonoids ever resigned. Vince Foster tried to, but they wouldn't let him. Same with Ron Brown.
The only one I'd give any credit to for not resigning was Louis Freeh. I believe he refused to resign mainly because he knew that if he did clinton would appoint someone MUCH WORSE to take his place. Freeh did some bad things under orders, but he dragged his feet when he could.

while 'Republicans' control
Johnny, I don't think you extended the quotation marks far enough: " 'Republicans' control" ? Is this really Republican "control"?

Sensenbrenner is not a Freeper
Still, in the recent edition of "Human Events" magazine, Sensenbrenner and Rep. Ron Paul, R-TX, were voted among the "Top 10 Republicans" trying to curtail government spending. Sadly, popular Sens. Arlen Specter, R-PA, and Ted Stevens, R-AK ,was among the biggest spenders.

Boy, now that's an easy prediction:
Clintonista (once again) fails to live up to any decent ethical standard.

BTW, recall that Kean is pretty much a RINO and Slade Gorton not much stronger.
Only Lehman is a strong Republican (but not really partisan), and you have at least 2 partisan shills (Ben Veniste, Gorelick) and another loose cannon Dem (Kerrey) that is also trying to make Bush look bad.
So non-partisan Repubs and partisan Dems... It sure aint a 'balanced' commission.

"She's on that commission for a reason, and it isn't because of her brilliant legal mind," a former DNC and Clinton White House staffer told the American Spectator. The above would be a lot more convincing if the former staffer had permitted the use of his or her name.

All you need to know is that Keane is a FOB.....what I want to know is why on earth the White House went along with the make-up of this commission.

This proves it. She is a part of the Clintons group. You have to kick them out.

"....what I want to know is why on earth the White House went along with the make-up of this commission." 100% Television and Talking Head exposure...
What better way to have the world see the depravity and incompetence of the Democrats and Clintonoids, than to "give them loose reins" and let them run over the cliff?
It appears that someone's "strategery" is working beautifully.
Some might call it "Rope a Dope" on CSPAN..

Kean is trying to get his son a position in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey, and he also is connected in some way to OBL brother-in-law - no doubt he doesn't want to to shake up his hidden agenda by reaching into his moral core...unless that is his moral core.
