This is as arrogant as it gets, right up there w/Kerry grilling critics on their vote or constantly whining "You aren't listening to me" if someone disagrees.
This is the PEOPLE'S business.

...airlines were being fined by the department of transporation... Yes, and there's more...
The FAA had conducted a test of the 'Kennedy Gates' at Logan International (extra wide to allow Ted to clear the upright rails). In 9 out of 10 attempts, DOT agents were able to smuggle knives and other weapons through the security gates...the VERY same gates that would later be used by the terrorists, who ALL boarded their planes at Logan International). A letter was written to Sen. John Kerry (of all people) explaining the dangers raised by the test results. Disposition: forwarded to DOT IG...File 13.

We should start spelling her name Gore Lick.

"I think she's a valuable member," added Democratic commissioner Tim Roemer (search), a former U.S. representative from Indiana. "I think nobody has worked harder on this commission than Jamie Gorelick." Maybe Gore is not the only one that received ...

Very important to find out who ordered this "wall" and WHY. My suspicion is that it was put in place to keep hidden the Clintons' connection to a lot of dirty activity. Gorelick "worked for" Janet Reno, who reported to who? Gorelick happily built walls where she wanted them and ignored them when she wanted....No wall here....

president Clinton ... made a thwarted attempt to obtain the counterintelligence information about what the FBI had learned of the Communist Chinese influence on the presidential election in November of 1996.Charles Ruff... contacted ... Jamie Gorelick and wanted to know what federal investigators knew or suspected about Chinese illegal contributions to the presidential campaign.
...Freeh learned of the White House probe by Gorelick, he ordered the information not be provided to Clinton, ...
...Freeh had left Washington on a trip to the Middle East. In his absence, attorney general Janet Reno and Gorelick quickly moved to obtain the secret FBI files.
Before the Justice Department turned over the FBI files to Clinton's legal counsel, Robert Bryant, then head of the FBI national security division, picked up the telephone and informed Freeh of Clinton's probe for the secret files on the Chinese investigation. Freeh ordered the files withheld.

They expose what a mockery our government has become. What our government became under Slick Willie's administration. I'd like to think we're now on the mend...thanks to the great leadership of President Bush.

The whole commission is a sham, its pointless and very likely dangerous. Naming Gorelick to the commission is indefensible, allowing her to remain is an outrage. She was the architect of the law that prevented relevant agencies from communicating with each other concerning terrorists and she sits on the sham commission enpaneled to investigate why relevant agencies were prevented from communicating with each other. What is wrong with these people, did they think we wouldn't notice ?????
BTW, the picture gets more entangled... Gorelick's present law firm, Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, represents Prince al-Faisal al-Saud, in a lawsuit filed by a group of roughly 600, 9-11 family members.

2 contradictory statements by Lehman:
"she's one of the really savvy, nonpartisan of the bipartisan members"
"Certainly in the Rice hearings and the [Richard] Clarke hearings, a lot of the members got partisan"
Gorelick was one of the most partisan questioners during these hearing. Lehman admits members got partisan. Then he says Gorelick wasn't partisan.

Daschle knew what he was doing appointing her...

Daschle shielded Gore Lick from testifying by putting her on the panel! He must know she is a very weak link!I've been saying as much for a few days now... Pretty clever, I must admit. Slimy, but clever.

Lehman is trying to cover his own butt. One thing the 9-11 Commission members agree upon. They hang together or they hang separately.
