Three guesses why they won't have him testify in public...If they call him at all. I know he's supposed to testify behind closed doors, but I bet the commission changes its mind.

The Utterly Absolutely Disgraced 911 Commission
[by their own choice, run by thoes who enabled the Atrocities]
"Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why I dared refuse repeat DOJ requests for investigations of dangerous illegal aliens.
Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why I arranged to stovepipe intelligence to make intraagency effective communication useless.
Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why illegal aliens who were felons became voters for our Democratic party.
Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why I OK'd the use of stolen FBI files on DNC computers.
Not a chance. Following LBJ, your gonads are in my fist and your FBI files are in my computer.
Now go away. "
"Some wonder whether [Clinton] was distracted by the legal and
political quagmire of the Monica Lewinsky case.
And even former Clinton aides now regret that the
battle with bin Laden and his Al-Qaida organization was never fully joined.
'Clearly, not enough was done,' said Jamie Gorelick,
a former deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration.
'We should have caught this. Why this happened, I don't know.
Responsibilities were given out. Resources were given. Authorities existed.
We should have prevented this.'
BREAKING: Gorelick (put on the Committee by Daschle)
not only created the background for the 911 Atrocities but now is covering it up
for the terrorists. Gorelick is a litigation partner of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.
which represents Prince Mohammed al-Faisal al-Saud, the House of Saud,
against a lawsuit filed by a coalition of 600 Sept. 11 families.

Did Ijaz work for the Clinton administration during this time period or was he a private negotiator, or some other role? The article doesn't say.

Daschle, never does anything without getting permission from Hillry first.
I believe that there was a specific case that caused the "wall" to be built. I believe an opportunity was seen to use a specific incident to tar and feather the "right wing" conservatives, thus a need to close off any counter-intelligence learned from the legal case, in progress.
Ashcroft mentioned the manner in which McVeigh case was handled.

He was a private go-between and had been a major fund-raiser for Toon before Ijaz got wise to Bubba. If you want a better of who Ijaz is and his ivolvement, read Richard Miniter's book if you get a chance. Ijaz is a good egg.

Not sure. Someone else may be able to shed some light on this. I do know that he was a major campaign contributor to Clinton.

Gorelick (put on the Committee by Daschle) not only created the background for the 911 Atrocities but now is covering it up for the terrorists. She has done more to cover for terrorists than most people think...
On Aug. 22, 1996, just a few days before the start of the Democratic National Convention, Ms. Gorelick oversaw a critical Justice Department meeting with the FBI. Immediately after this meeting, as it happened, all serious inquiry into the fate of TWA 800 came to an end.
On the next day, for instance, the FAA began to inquire whether any dog-training exercises had ever taken place on the plane that would become TWA 800. On the same day, as CNN reported, the FBI now claimed publicly for the first time that the explosive residue found along the right wing "could have been brought on the plane by a passenger and was not part of a bomb." Likewise, after the meeting, the FBI would do no more eyewitness interviews, at least not for the next two months. The Bureau only did a handful after that and all of those for the wrong reasons.

Related stories:
Yes, Clinton and Gore did abandon airport security planning for sake of campaign cash. But worse, they concealed the real cause of the crash, in no small part to justify that abandonment.
In fact, on the same day in September of 1996 that Al Gore sent the airline's lobbyist a letter signaling his intent to roll over, the National Transportation Safety Board reversed its spin and all but ruled out a bomb or missile strike [on TWA 800].
WND
In our book, "First Strike," James Sanders and I make this arguably prophetic comment:
John Kerry seemed to have his sights on Al Gore's Achilles' heel. After the events of Sept. 11, the story of how Al Gore helped subvert the investigation into TWA 800 and undermine airport security may yet prove to be a career-killer. Kerry's "slips" may have put Gore out of the race even before he got in.
Two weeks after advanced copies of "First Strike" started circulating around Washington, Gore withdrew from the presidential race. His withdrawal shocked Washington. It did not shock Sanders and me. We expected it. Kerry plays hardball, too.

They still haven't even figured out that Algore was in charge of airport security since 1995.See my post #11.

Khartoum, April 19, 1997. After eight months of negotiations and countless dinners of Nile perch and soggy French fries, I persuaded Sudan's president, Omar Hasan el Bashir, to make an unconditional offer to share Sudan's intelligence data with the FBI and CIA. The offer, made at my request directly to the 9/11 Commission's vice chairman, former Congressman Lee Hamilton (D., Ind.), sat in limbo for months. Hamilton personally discussed the offer with Berger and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, with little effect. Here we have a SECOND member of the committee who should be answering instead of asking questions.
Bombshell #1.
At around the same time in mid-February 1998, bin Laden's key Sudan deputy traveled to Baghdad to meet Saddam's intelligence chief. The Clinton White House was aware of both developments.
Bombshell #2.

At this point rather than ask for this or that member to resign our focus should be to descredit the whole process. It's been obvious, since that 'rat memo, that they only seek to descredit Bush in an election year and any report will be tainted with partisan BS.
To: eastforker
Maybe you can do that. I just became a member of FR yesterday & am still trying to feel my way around. Thanks!

How would he make an offer in 1997 to a commission that was not yet formed for an event that had not yet occurred?
