Did Ijaz work for the Clinton administration during this time period or was he a private negotiator, or some other role? The article doesn't say.

He was a private go-between and had been a major fund-raiser for Toon before Ijaz got wise to Bubba. If you want a better of who Ijaz is and his ivolvement, read Richard Miniter's book if you get a chance. Ijaz is a good egg.

Not sure. Someone else may be able to shed some light on this. I do know that he was a major campaign contributor to Clinton.
