April 15, 2004 -- House Judiciary Committee Chairman James Sensenbrenner has demanded the resignation of Jamie Gorelick as a member of the federal 9/11 Commission. Frankly, given her blatant conflicts of interest, she should never have been appointed in the first place.

Tom Kean is an egotistical self-centered arrogant RINO from N.J. who has a political record that reads like a Democrat.
In political parlance, he is, like Chrissie Whitman, a "Rockefeller Republican."

Rockefeller Republicans get their name from Nelson Rockefeller, a former governor of New York State. Mr. Rockefeller, like Mr. Kean, came from old money - LOTS of it. He, like Kean, considered himself one of America's aristocracy. He, like Kean, called himself a Republican but had a political agenda that was socially liberal and ficsally conservative - sort of - the kind of fiscal conservatism that extracts money from the masses for the kind of social programs HE felt was necessary, while insulating himself and his wealth from government taxes.

Nelson Rockefeller walked out of the Republican Convention in 1964, along with Keating and Javits of New York when Barry Goldwater, a conservative businessman, and pilot in the National Guard, was nominated for President. They and their left-wing leitist limousine liberal cronies in the northeastern Republican establishment refused to support Goldwater when he ran for President, helping saddle the nation with Lyndon Johnson and the catastrophic Viet Nam War.

Arrogance and hybris drips from Mr. Kean's fangs when he speaks to those he feels less entitled than he.

My call on this is Kean is interested in a Federal Judgeship - probably on the Supreme Court, as anything less would be an insult to his dignity.

Remember Tom Kean, AND his son, Tom Kean Jr, another up and coming politco from New Jersey.

Tom Kean invited his "old friend" (newspaper quote) Bill Clinton to speak at Drew University, where Kean was President, when Clinton was running against Bush I.

Tom Kean doesn't support the Second Amendment and believes in "reparations" payments to American blacks.

Tom Kean initially opposed Chrissie Whitman for governor in the New Jersey Republican gubernatorial primary because he thought she was "too conservative" (newspaper quote).

Tom Kean is a bloated, egotistical windbag with an inflated value of his own self-worth.

To call Tom Kean a RINO is an understatement.

George Bush's biggest error in judgement was placing this self-righteous, egocentrist in the position of Chairman of the 9-11 Commission.

My guess is the fix is in - kill Bush in 2004 and Kean gets a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court from a grateful Kerry administration - YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST ON FREE REPUBLIC!!

Tom Kean should immediately have called Ben-Veniste to order for his rude behavior towards Rice.

Tom Kean should have maintained the decorum of the hearings by ordering any plants in the audience who clapped when testimony was delivered to cease or be removed.

Tom Kean is a RINO and Democratic plant who is probably hoping for an appointment to the Supreme Court from a grateful Kerry Administration.

Trent Lott appointed all the Rinos on this commission except for Kean which President Bush mistakenly did...Bush trusts too many self-serving politicians, some of whom have an "R" behind their name and a "D" up their behind!
You know who SHOULD have been selected for this commission? NOT 1 POLITICIAN, but rather AMERICAN people like you and me and VETTED EACH person beforehand just like a jury is made to go through before a huge trial (well, except the OJ Trial - forget that onE!)

It never ceases to amaze me how something like this commission's partisanship and now a member's confict of interest is WHITEWASHED when it involves a Democrat but is catostrophic in nature when involving a Republican. The 'very hint' of a nebulous "APPEARANCE" of a conflict of interest or impropriety is enough to PRECLUDE Henry Kissinger from being the Chairman but a SITTING COMMISSIONER INVOLVED politically and legally in the very substance of the investigation is NOT enough for any question about removal to even be levied.

Amazing how the prism through which the media/press looks somehow changes depending on which party is involved.

Well, although the Clinton admin seems to have been a tool of Al Queda, they have actually been an even greater asset to China (leaked nuke technology) and North Korea (Agreed Framework sucker deal.) So who would they have been a sleeper cell for? AQ and NK and Chicoms?

They were not actual agents of America's enemies, they are part of an ideology that believes that America is the predator, that if we lay down our arms and do not defend ourselves, our enemies will also lay down their arms because they only want peace and were only making warlike preparations against us out of fear of us.
