[history]
April 15, 2004 -- House Judiciary Committee Chairman James Sensenbrenner has demanded the resignation of Jamie Gorelick as a member of the federal 9/11 Commission. Frankly, given her blatant conflicts of interest, she should never have been appointed in the first place.

Ted Olson had just said in an interview with LKL that the commissioners should not be doing TV interviews, etc. I saw that interview -- he was outstanding!

The pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall into place, aren't they?....OKC bombing, lax restrictions on entering into our country (refer to J. Mowrey's article in National Review on the VISA scam); the connections of this panel to the clintons and their various roles....can't help but put the pieces together and John Ashcroft is giving us a lot of vital information....(and all this time I just thought Ashcroft was an "empty suit"...I humbly apologize, John).

The RATS hate Ashcroft even more than Bush, if you can imagine that. He was absolutely correct to bring this up about Gorelick in his opening remarks, knowing full well the circus would never ask him about it. (To the defense of the commission, they probably couldn't ask him about it BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT THEMSELVES!)
On a personal note, I find John Ashcrofts voice to be quite pleasant to listen to. :^)

My email:
Dear Mr. Kean,
You actually have the nerve to say "The people ought to stay out of our business?"
Catch a clue. The business of the 9-11 investigation is OUR BUSINESS. YOU WORK FOR US!
Now, either do your job and kick Nancy Gorelick out on her keister ~ or have her indicted ~ or REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THIS PARTISAN WITCH HUNT.
You sir, are a disgrace.
Sincerely,

It makes you wonder how someone named Gorelick would get a high level appointment from a person named Gore! Kinda like it was her destiny in life!

The bush-bots, TLBSHOW, me, and many others are in agreement ... Kean's remark is rotten, Gorelick is compromised, and the whole 9-11 Commsssion is suspect, probably compromised -- by the isloation of the elite and hubris to say the least.

Ben-Veniste must have photos of Kean cross-dressing, or coming out of a gay bathhouse with a handsome young man.

It is obvious that this is turning into a quest to bring a president down Maybe indirectly because they have no case against Bush. The dems goal on this commission is to develop chinks in Bush's armour on the terrorism issue. Bush owns this issue with conservatives and they want to fuzz it up a bit for the independents and shave a few points off his approval numbers. I think Kean thinks his job is to act like a good RINO and appease dems.
To: Happy2BMe
Who decided Gorelick (GORE-LICK) had the credientials and requirements to be on the commission anyway? The RATs on the commission were appointed by Daschle and Gephardt. Hastert and Lott named four Republicans and President Bush named Kean.
Since "airline safety" is a big part of what happened on 9-11, it could be argued that Daschle had a conflict of interest and shouldn't have been involved in the selection process.

You need supoena power -- but yes, hell yes -- ordinary, intelligent, upstanding citizens should danm well be on the commision -- making up the big majority of members!

"And what was Commission Chairman Tom Kean's response to calls for Gorelick's dismissal or resignation? "People ought to stay out of our business," he huffed".
This idiot does not belong on this commission either.

Lehman was just on Fox defending that Gorelick should remain on the commission. Said she was one of the most non-partisan members of the commission. Lehman could be a Zen Master :). The more times the members of the Commision are asked if Gorelick should step down, the more pressure there is on her to do so. Lehman's keeping it in the public eye, and not looking like a "mean Republican". By saying she's the most non-partisan, he's pointing out how partisan the other Democrats on the panel are.
She'll either stay or go, but the Commission is now been permanently discredited. Everytime a member pops on on TV, they weaken their own stature.
To: kattracks
Partisan?
Does anyone ANYONE? Remember hearing when both clinton and core were going to testify? before the fact..and weither or not it was going to be "public" testimony

Commission Chairman Tom Kean's response to calls for Gorelick's dismissal or resignation? "People ought to stay out of our business," he huffed. That blankety-blank elitist RINO. Somebody tell this idiot that he's operating on the federal dime. That means anything he (and the 9/11 Commission) does is the business of the American people.

info@9-11commission.gov This was my email, please write your own and send it along. Let's bury them in mail!
Subject: Consider Your Reputations
It's an absolute disgrace that you are not asking the 100% compromised Ms. Gorelick to resign from your panel, and instead to sit as a witness under oath for her part in the 9-11 disaster.
Your commission is becoming a national laughingstock. All of your personal reputations will wind up in the sewer with Ms. Gorelick's if you cannot bring yourselves to demand that she step down.
America is watching this travesty!

The 9-11 Commission is a political organization that will arrive at a political conclusion.
It has nothing to do with evaluating and improving our national security.
