Gorelick Caught In Lie - Gorelick Says She Did Not Author or Sign the "WALL" Memo

Gorelick Caught In Lie - Gorelick Claims She Did Not Author or Sign the Memo That Bears Her Name and Initials.
When asked specifically by CNN's Wolf Blitzer if she wrote the "memorandum in '95 that helped establish the so-called walls between the FBI and CIA," Gorelick distanced herself from the matter:
"No, and again, I would refer you back to what others on the commission have said. The wall was a creature of statute. It's existed since the mid 1980s. And while it's too lengthy to go into, basically the policy that was put out in the mid-nineties, which I didn't sign, wasn't my policy by the way, it was the attorney general's policy, was ratified by Attorney General Ashcroft's deputy as well in August of 2001. So we are just going to move on from this. This is not a basis for resignation."

Fox News reported this morning that one of the commission members (can't remember his name..the one that looked like he needed to wash his hair) stated that Gorelick will remain on the commission panel....period.....

In her own words:

"Resources were given. Authorities existed. We should have prevented this."

IMO The commissioner SHOULD be asking Gorelick what other information she has neglected to provide to them. But alas they can only do that if she's in the witness chair.

...they will not respond to the obvious, the comission for it's own sake must remain intact, so that the American people will "trust" our findings to be honest, and most forthcoming.....

I still want to know if this memo was initiated because of OKC, among other things.

On another thread, it was revealed the Gorelick Memo (undated) was signed on March 4, 1995, approximately 6 weeks before OKC. The date was referenced in a later memo by Reno, on the last page.

It won't happen, but we are reaching the stage where the Commission collectively and individually needs to be put under oath to see if there is a conspiracy to assure a report that covers their collective misdeeds and supports predetermined conclusions - its Bush's fault.

So we are just going to move on from this.

Where have I heard this before? (just kidding, of course)

It is documented she in fact wrote the memo, no? Yet she sits on a panel that has the authority to take sworn testimony?

If she has lied about this---and it certainly looks like she has---then the lie alone, never mind the spin about when, why and by whom policies were implemented, is grounds enough for her dismissal immediately from this commission.

The cover up always gets them in the end.

So what are we going to do about it?

I didn't do it, but he did it too.

SHE LIED. SHE IS THE CULPRIT. SHE MUST BE REMOSED.

Having her as a member on this committee is like having OJ on a panel to prevent domestic abuse.

BROWN: And I wanted to ask you about the blame game stuff and whether we're past that in these hearings, not so much today but certainly yesterday. For those of us who really want this commission to do it great, it was an uncomfortable day I thought of finger pointing and it's their fault, no it's theirs, no I didn't say that, yes, he did.

Hmmm. Seems like Aaron's only worried about this when the blame starts getting put squarely in x42's camp. He doesn't care when it's the Bush team getting smeared.

"She will resign ..."
I hope you are correct, but the Commission members, Republican and Democrat, are defending her and the pubbie leadership, Hastert and Frist, are silent. The major media is downplaying the memo and controversy, etc. Once again, the inability of the GOP to fight like the dems and the connivance of the media work against us. The GOP helped to build the gun and load the bullets that will now be fired against us. The party needs a major reform and the go along to get along RINO's must be purged.

Well said and so true. RINO Lehman was on Fox this morning and gave the same song and dance: "She's a valued member of the Commission, very helpful in looking at the issues, blah, blah, blah." In response to a question, he went on to say that though she seems partisan in public, she makes meaningful contributions in their private sessions. At that point I yelled at the set; something about a leopard not changing its spots.

"I didn't sign it."

"I initialled it."

That depends on what the definition of 'is' is...

Sound familiar?

Sent an email to the commission demanding her immediate resignation or dismissal from the panel. Thanks, Dio.

Yeah, yeah, yeah - and Clinton "did not have sexual relations with that woman; Miss Lewinsky."

Does ANYONE in the Democrat Party ever tell the truth, or is Democrat a synonym of "liar"?
