Well consider this: Given what we all *now* about Clintigula & his dealings with foreign powers -- ala PRC, Loreal et al for example -- & after learning about the "Butcher of Waco's" gal pal (dyke-like) Gorelick authoring the previous administration(s) official "policys" concerning "terrorism"?
Couldn't someone [read: *me*] say Clintigula made a *deal* with Osama Mamma that if the Gorebot lost the election to a Republican in Y2k, Osamma's AQ could attack a prominent target here in the United States of America rather easily due to weak -- if not nonexistant -- intel & security?
Not so far fetched really, IF, one simply looks at what was & wasn't done by the Clinoccios when our interests were attacked over his 8 years in office.

I never said that the president or Ashcroft had anything directly to do with 9/11. I said that the FBI, while under Ashcroft's (Justice Dpt.) watch, blew our best chance to stop 9/11. Were they complicit? Obviously not. Was it their fault? Not really, but with the right kind of spin it can be made to look like their fault. This is what the Dems were out to do.
Long story short, Bush turned it around and now the Dems have the hot potato. It was neatly done, and in an election year it was very necessary. If gas keeps going up and bodies keep coming back from Iraq, then the last thing Bush will be wanting to concentrate on is the Dems on the 9/11 comission playing blame games.
I don't believe that Clinton had anything (directly) to do with 9/11, and I don't think that the majority of Americans do either. Some of the rabid anti-Clinton people on this board might believe a spin like that, but to most people it will come off as a ham fisted smear. It's better if we keep pounding the Gorelick drum and don't try to get too elaborate.

This Commission is the most disgusting charade I think I have ever witnessed. Anyone who can't see that it is nothing but a maneuver to crucify Bush during an election year probably shouldn't be allowed out of their padded cell.
BTW, I have an old friend who is an FBI agent. He admitted very frankly that the FBI screwed up on the intelligence prior to 9/11.
However, I love the way this is playing out--when it is proven that a RAT in the Clintoon adminstration was the one who cemented the firewall between the FBI and the CIA. The RATS just might be sorry they pursued this issue!
After preventing Gore from stealing the election, taking off the porn from the computers, disinfecting the walls and floor of Clinton juice, and fighting for his tax cuts the Bush administration didn't have the luxury of time to overhaul FBI and Intelligence. Hence, the Xlinton rejects and some of his failed policies.
I guess some people jumped the gun in criticizing you. But Bush doesn't use spin or worry about poll numbers. I believe that the Algorelick memo is the genuine real McCoy and Ashcroft really discovered it unintentionally.
