Was the pool for shutting down just one (or two) stations, or for the whole thing to fold?

Do you mean that ErrAmerica already lost two of the, what, 6 stations it had at the beginning?
To: Guillermo
The last day they broadcast over the air.

If you tune into the stations that are supposed to be playing Air America, you hear spanish music.

Interesting, if true. Do you have a source for this?
I would have expected them to keep going through November 5, no matter how much money they lost. If they shut down earlier than that, I would interpret it as meaning not only that the operation is losing money, which was inevitable, but that it is failing to do anything useful for the propaganda effort as well.

Well, they're still on in other markets...
It might not be too long before all the other ones fold, considering the speed in which the Chi and LA stations dumped them.

I think it will limp along until November 3rd. On the Morning After another Pubbie landslide, it will whimper and die quietly.

Someone put up a thread saying they heard they Airbag stopped broadcasting in Los Angeles and Chicago for
contractual reasons. I just checked here in LA and they are playing Spanish music and someone reported the same from Chicago.
This could be as they say, a contract dispute, but I doubt it. Once the plug is pulled it is usually for a pretty good reason. If they were going to continue broadcasting on these stations, they would never have let the broadcast go silent, that's death.
It could be they go so much flack about taking over minority stations they are switching to others, but if they were to do this I doubt they would allow a hiatus in transmission.

Mentioned to my wife this AM that I hadn't heard anything about "our friends." Wonder if the mainstream media will report their demise as much as they reported their "coming?"

I knew it fromo the beginning that this "liberal" experiment would fail. For crying out loud, TV has already been taking by Liberals long time ago.
Mr. Franken et al didn't do a proper market research.

Heheh, we stopped taking predictions this morning due to this new development, in all fairness to those who already placed dates. If for some reason they get back up in these two markets, we will reopen it.

I tuned in to 950 AM in Chicago this morning just to check up on the enemy and they were broadcasting in Spanish.
At first I thought it was just the usual bleedover on their weak signal.

According to DU "experts" George Bush's friends took them off the air. BTW, one poster said they have enough funding to run 2 years, without any advertising revenue.

I asked the mods to place your post in the FR sidebar and then was going to put this deadpool update next to it. It was there for a while then a mod put it in extended news. Don't know why, but I wasn't trying to steal your thunder.

Wait a minute. I wonder how much of the 'seed money' is unspent, and where it is going to go from here? They has what, $30 mil to play with?
