Partisan Yes!
By the way, we're hearing everything from Ben-Veniste and Kerry members of the commission, where are our guys?
Haven't heard squat from them. Codi laid minfields and now Ashcroft landed the MOAB on Gorelick how about our republican partisan members carrying the water here?
They should be beside themselves with outrage and they're not . . . . silence, is all we get from them.
Partisan indeed . . . but at least make it a FAIR partisan fight.
I'll be waiting for our side to step up now and hit it out of the park and dismiss this rag-tag commission as worthless.

It was evident, their tone and charicter from the first day. Absolutely disgusting smiles, yucking it up while witnesses testify, as though they need not listen politely. Kean from day #1 was warmly chatting with anyone willing to stop and pay honor to him while testimony was being given. His grinning, smiling, and banter was just rude.
Given the task of their charter, they should all be taken out behind the woodshed and horsewhipped for being just self serving, rude children with giant egos. I muted the sound for an hour and just watched the video. I couldn't tell if it was a governmental hearing or a Friar's Roast? Sad......

Because, to the Democrats, the enemy is not just al Qaeda. It is also the George W. Bush White House.
And the democrats are also the enemy of this country along with al Qaeda.

"John Kerry could shut it down in a heartbeat, simply by saying: "Stop it!""Kerry needs to do just that. He must state the obvious: that 9/11 was the work of Islamist fanatics, and that the danger will not have passed until those who make war on America are either killed or in captivity."
"It is simply disgraceful that he hasn't already done so."
John Kerry is the wrong guy who happened to be in the "right" place - a nitwit who, like all opportunists (and gigolos), uses someone else's coattails to elevate his own status - and, like most Dems, won't speak up until the polls tell him "it's necessary" and politically gainful - PHOOEY!

NATIONAL DISGRACE -Partisan Politics Over Truth
It is sickening isn't it?!
It amazes me how the Dems never seem to let something like the facts or the truth get in the way of their agenda!

I loved flashing this cover on the subway this am. You could tell it was like garlic to the liberal vampires on the train with me.That could backfire... Seeing National Disgrace with a picture of a soldier would give many NYers (not the brightest) the impression that the paper is saying that the WAR IN IRAQ is a national disgrace... That was the first impression a few of my co-workers had (before reading it)..

John Gambling (ABC Radio) was just talking about this, saying he's felt this way all along... that it's the nature of the hearings- set in Washington, in front of the cameras... they're trying to be as shrill as possible.

I try not to abuse the "PINGs" but this one is just too good to have you miss, if you haven't seen this already...
To: finnman69
I've watched about 5 minutes of this commission's hearings and that's all I can stand. It's nothing but a bunch of back bench Democrats hoping to raise their profile by slinging zingers at those testifying, attempting to twist their words and distort the truth.
If the purpose of a commission like this is to get at the truth, why wouldn't they frame their questions in a way that leads to clarity instead of ambiguity? Why would they cut off Condi Rice when she attempted to give a fuller, clearer explanation?
The simple answer is, they're not interested in the truth. They're interested in getting face time on CNN and getting their soundbites on the evening news.

There was an editorial in our local paper today saying the same thing. And the writer was a democrat - although he claimed both Democrats and Republicans were doing it. That's as much as he's going to admit to.
I think the public is going to be ticked off that we wasted time, money and opportunity to do some good and possibly prevent another attack by all this finger pointing. Let's move beyond fixing the blame and FIX THE PROBLEM!!

This article expresses what I feel so well. I just e-mailed Kristen Breitweist (spelling?) with many of the same points. I told her to step out of the limelight and her and to give up her 15 minutes of fame to allow other 9/11 families to speak up for a change.
This commission stinks!
To: finnman69
all Americans are diminished, but none more than the families of the 9/11 victims -- who expect better from the commission, and certainly deserve it.Don't want to seem crass but I am tired of hearing about the families of 9/11 and what they deserve. Deaths were tragic but no more so than any others. And they have received more compensation than those family members of the Marines, soldiers, airmen and saliors who die. Sorry but these family members, and I know it is a small minority, are turning my stomach with their media spotlight grabs and anti-Bush partisan rants.
