April 14, 2004 -- The national 9/11 commission has been hijacked by political shills -- men and women eager to subordinate truth to partisan advantage; who hold a transitory victory on Election Day more dear than American victory in the war on terror.

LOL. Notice at least the NY Post has the journalistic honesty to put in blaring 1" high red and white letters "EDITORIAL" on the cover. When the NY Slimes puts one of its hit pieces on the front page above the fold it identifies it with 1/16th high letters saying "news analysis".

I think the Post's local buisness and Real Estate coverage is superior to the the Times.

Our paper, The Oklahoman, has been doing a lot of editorials about the biased 9-11 Commission but other than that I have seen very few editorials denouncing the partisanship of the Commission.

Check out the contrast between the NY Post, and the Competitor, the slimey NY Daily News.

Also, check out the lying.misleading title after Bush released the PDB.

I loved flashing this cover on the subway this am. You could tell it was like garlic to the liberal vampires on the train with me.

That could backfire... Seeing National Disgrace with a picture of a soldier would give many NYers (not the brightest) the impression that the paper is saying that the WAR IN IRAQ is a national disgrace... That was the first impression a few of my co-workers had (before reading it)..

OK is solidly GOP, you folks have your heads screwed on right, though I can't imagine why your state voted for a Dem for Senator, even if Largent was an inept campaigner...

I went to OK once (Enid - had a girlfriend who was raised, and had family, there), really liked it. People were great.

John Gambling (ABC Radio) was just talking about this, saying he's felt this way all along... that it's the nature of the hearings- set in Washington, in front of the cameras... they're trying to be as shrill as possible.

The Demo'rats went over the line at Wellstone's funeral, and got beaten for it. They are going over the line once more with the 9/11 commission and will pay for it, again.

Thanks, this is a bit of a reprieve for my sour stomach since that day this "The Commission" put Richard Clarke out there like the second coming.

After seeing Ted Olsen yesterday sitting in that audience while the vultures were attempting to rip the life out of John Ashcroft, I remembered that book "Hell to Pay" from his brilliant beautiful smiling wife, Barbara. This phrase applies to these on this "The Commission" who pervert power for their own self gain. They are a reprobate generation.

Because, to the Democrats, the enemy is not just al Qaeda.

It is also the George W. Bush White House.

It would be more accurate without the words in bold:

Because, to the Democrats, the enemy is not al Qaeda.

It is the George W. Bush White House.

John Gambling has an astute caller who's absolutely appaled that we don't have senior GOP Senators, the VP, Speaker, etc out there defending our wonderful President...

He cites guys like McCain, who says (on Chrissy Matthews) that his relations with Bush are cordial. Relations with Kerry are very friendly, etc etc etc...

I've watched about 5 minutes of this commission's hearings and that's all I can stand. It's nothing but a bunch of back bench Democrats hoping to raise their profile by slinging zingers at those testifying, attempting to twist their words and distort the truth.

If the purpose of a commission like this is to get at the truth, why wouldn't they frame their questions in a way that leads to clarity instead of ambiguity? Why would they cut off Condi Rice when she attempted to give a fuller, clearer explanation?

The simple answer is, they're not interested in the truth. They're interested in getting face time on CNN and getting their soundbites on the evening news.

The Democrat party sure seems thirsty for a leader who yanks the chain when the dogs get themselves hankerin for a fight. It seems almost like the average democrat is being encouraged to get out the shovel when you thought they couldn't get any lower.

HMMMMMMM.........Just who might be stepping in soon to yank that chain and pretend to bring civility and respect back into the party? Now let me think????

I feel like the democrat tide is lowering to the sludge at the bottom to bring the muck vessel known as the USS Hillary to it's glory. Yep. Captain Hillary is going to don the pearls, Queen's hat, and start studying Maggie Thatcher for her mission to save the democrat party. She will set sail just before the convention.

There was an editorial in our local paper today saying the same thing. And the writer was a democrat - although he claimed both Democrats and Republicans were doing it. That's as much as he's going to admit to.

I think the public is going to be ticked off that we wasted time, money and opportunity to do some good and possibly prevent another attack by all this finger pointing. Let's move beyond fixing the blame and FIX THE PROBLEM!!
