A woman shot an armed man to death Tuesday after he attacked her as she was entering her east-side Detroit home, police said.

The woman, who owns a car dealership, was at the side door of her home in the 15200 block of Troester at 7:45 p.m. when a man ran up behind her brandishing a nickel-plated handgun, Officer Derek Jones said.

It sounds like you didn't beat on your brother enough when you were kids. If you'd have victimized him more he'd understand how the world works.

I partly agree with you. If you've had done nothing wrong give the first part of your post, add that you want to file charges/sign the complaint against the perp (now your the complainant not the defendent, as the first to say I'm the victim is looked at that way the rest of the time this is in the legal process) and after stating what happened without changing any details as you tell this 2 or 5 times to different officers, say you're worn out, tired and are wanting to take a break and will answer more questions later after you get some legal help just as the officer would do.

I'm no lawyer but this is what Ayoob preaches. You will find lawyers who will say don't say anything at all because you won't be able to undo the statement easily in court if you crap on yourself right after you've gone through this very stressfull encounter.

Of course with that latter tack you will definitely be spending time in jail, maybe until the trial is over, until thet legal process is concluded. And jury members will read about how you were booked and jailed which makes it look like your guilty in some people's minds.
