[history]
U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said yesterday that the violence and anarchy sweeping Iraq will prevent the world body from re-establishing a major presence in the country anytime in the near future.
Mr. Annan also deplored the kidnapping of civilians in Iraq, many of whom were trying to rebuild the nation, and called for their release.

"It is interesting that the pro-war folks never admit error....One year ago, they were telling us that the situation in Iraq would be better." Who the hell is pro-war? What error? Things are better!
Do you think that anyone who is pro-selfdefense when war has been declared againt them, and responds when acts of war have been conducted against them.....is "pro-war". Get real!
It is more interesting, that folks like yourself can find horror only in the deaths of our enemy, or begin wringing your hands in fear when REAL WAR doesn't go as smoothly and bloodless as a video game..
And, things are better in Iraq..
The regime that sheltered and sustained lunatics is gone..
The regime that murdered HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS is gone.
Rape and Torture are no longer the games played by those in power.
Those folks are no longer working on and threating the world with WMDs, or in a position to transfer them to "terrorists"..
Plus, we have a "baited killing field" - attracting lunatic Jihadists from all over the world, to come and commit suicide by Marine....
Yes, things are better, and getter even better every day....
Your objection to this war, and probably any war that serves the interests of America, is noted..
You will not be asked to serve....
Now, just curl into the fetal position, while others do what must be done.....as is usually the case with folks like you.

fetal position eh?. You must be a load of laughs. Let me guess: you're on your third marriage, right?

Hey Kerry, you want the UN to take over? He still does . . . or Teresa does, whichever is the brain behind the campaign.

"fetal position eh?. You must be a load of laughs. Let me guess: you're on your third marriage, right?" Nice try ....
You pathetic little idiot....
In fact, though it's none of your business..
I'm still married to the same woman after 42 years, raised two VERY successful children, who in turn are raising beautiful intelligent children....
Big disappointment to you huh, loser??
You damned "geniuses" with your snide remarks have somehow been deluded into thinking that anyone who disagrees with you are knuckle dragging, toothless, beer swilling morons...
That, just shows your own ignorance.
Now, let me guess -- you're still in the fetal position and playing with yourself...right?

Nice. Congrats on the 42yrs BTW.
Notice how quickly he/she turned tail whilst spewing personal attacks to your apt 1st reply. Not unlike some of the hip slinging AK47 "insurgents" we've duly noted during the one-sided cease fire.

This is great! Keep talking, Coffeehead. You just gutted Kerry's biggest campaign issue.
Man, what fun GW is going to have in the presidential debates.

Child's play....
I'd wager I had made my bones before Capt Kirk was a gleam in his/her old man's eyes....

What a glowing testimonial and endorsement of the UN, not. What's funnier is this is the result of the imminent June 30th deadline that Pres. Bush has set. He is setting up the UN to look like fools, again, and the US will wind up being the ones to keep the peace. Beautiful stategery!

REASONS FOR THE UN NOT GOING TO IRAQ:
1. NO PROFIT.
2. People running away--like they did in Kosovo lasrt week--does not make for a "Good Image".
3. THEY ACTUALLY SHOOT AT YOU in IRAQ!

After your thoughtful and fact-based rational response, I completely change my mind. It is so refreshing to finally ready someone who engages in rational argument rather than personal attack. My hat is off to you.
All the best.
