He spoke w/conviction. I like a man who says what he means and means what he says.
Poll-driven clinton said what some people wanted to hear, and he said it only to harvest votes for himself. His integrity tank was running on empty.

Any clue how to find Terry Moran's? Try phoning the bathhouses about now...

Post #2,338 was meant generically, not specifically singling you out when I meant "you". :)

Alright, my criticism is beaten into submission. Ouch.

I don't expect Oscar acting. What I would prefer in lieu of stammering is poise and clarity ala Condi Rice or Cheney. Cheney can verbally filet an interviewer like no one I've ever seen. I would have like to see that tonight from Bush - the press corp deserved it.

I already said that I saw it ONCE. The case you mentioned.
But not any other time.
You're acting as though it was a pervasive problem, and I strongly disagree.
In an hour it happened once that I saw. It was not the problem you're making it out to be.

The fact you've been 'supporting' Delphi for less than five years is not mentioned in this thread.
I'm sure EDS and Delphi are thrilled to be rid of you as well.
You ought to focus your whining energies on finding solutions, or take your whining over to DU or LP, where you can run with your own herd.

Lest I forget to say, GW was excellent tonight, speaking as he was from the enemy encampment, and I will get down on my knees to thank God that he is our leader in these troubling times. G'nite all.
To: woofie
As far as I can tell ya want somebody to say something and mean it and Bush does that
The media and a lot of the malcontents both from the so called conservative side and the democrats have not learned the above about President Bush. Ma Richards tried to tell them that back during the 2000 campaign that he would get a message, stick to it and mean it.... She learned it but many others haven't..... and most likely never will.

What a true gentleman you are...not to mention quite the wit! :-)

Frankly, the press corp got WAY more than they "deserved".
I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

I agree completely. I just got back to Free Republic-computer problems and working my but off-but I see people on Free Repub. still complaining about the President. He has done some stuff I wish he didn't, but can anyone really believe John F. Kerry would be better? In 1992, I voted for Bill Clinton (hanging my head in shame), I will never vote for a Democrat again. The 2004 election is about our security-we need to put all the petty garbage aside and unite as a party (GOP/conservatives) and vote for President Bush.
To: LizardQueen
Bush is not Cheney or Rice. He is Bush.
That's who we elected. That's who he is.
Why do you expect him to be what he is not?
Watch the end. It was powerful. Just plain powerful.

Joe;"However, I am confident that I'm not the only one that saw President Bush as a little unfocused, distracted, unprepared, and drifting on several occasions. It seemed kinda obvious to me. Of course, I'm just giving my honest opinion."
Bigsky:Well, yes, this is the standard reply from the DUmmies. "Blundering idiot", "Cowboy", etc., etc. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You're correct, you're not alone.
I think your implication that the only people who agree with Joe are "DUmmies" is not really a fair criticism.
I am the one of the most dedicated Bush supporters you will find on FR, but I agree that Joe is absolutely right on this.
Bush had some good moments and overall his message was rigth on the money.
But he really came across as "unfocused, distracted, unprepared, and drifting" several places during the Q&A.
In some places he looked like he was totally lost.

I recommend you stoc up with several of whichever you decide. You're then well-armed during tedious grandstanding, episodes of blanant democrat pandering and asinine press badgering.
