ONLY Rumsfeld??????????

Look, alot of us love Rummy. He is a great SecDef. I don't want anything bad to happen to him, and I don't appreciate entire GROUPS of people calling for his assasination. If that kind of behavior is okay with you, then fine, for you. It's NOT okay with me. BTW, I didn't want anything bad to happen to SecDef Cohen either, and I didn't even like him.

People who publish, people who write, people who support groups like the one who authored this particular filth, should be held accountable.

The fact that the ad writers used literal statements to describe what they falsely believe is happening and then say "pull the trigger" doesn't mean they are saying that we should actually pick up our gun and shot for Rumsfeld. The phrase "pull the trigger" has several different meanings, especially when used in an arumentative context.

Look, the ad itself is silly. It has false arguments and looks like it was written by a 15 year old. To focus on one phrase and extract it it to lower our analysis to the same of the writers of the ad.

I am just saying we can easily rise above.

I'm stunned that the newspaper ran the ad. Stunned.

I said it was only Rumsfeld because the law in this instance would only be a crime if it was the President or VP.

Hold them accountable - but there are no legal repurcussions.

Translation: We are better than them, so lets just ignore their childish calls for assasination.

Sorry, I will not ignore, and those charged with Rummy's protection should not ignore.

And Groups of people...like 5 crazies in St. Petersburg - not much of a group ;P They can't even punch a ballot - let alone fire a gun.

I would caution everyone NOT to resort to any threats against the individuals responsible for or who are named in this Ad....we must never resort to their 'hate-filled' tactics!

Let's take the 'high road' like President Bush who has not made personal attacks agaisnt Kerry even though Kerry called him & other GOP 'crooks & a liars'.

Further, you posts remind me of Hillary and other RATS, who when caught making a non-PC statement that if a republican made would lead the news and cause protests and calls for resignation respond with "It was only a joke."

Until discovered and exposed the speaker/author is serious and once light is put upon their comments they revert to their "its a joke" defense. You seem to be supportive of this line of defense.

Can't say I buy that. If I posted a message with those same words about John Kerry, I guarantee you that the Secret Service wouldn't be so generous.

So why are you arguing we should be so generous when some seriously whacked Leftists are saying as much should be done to our Secretary of Defense?

but there are no legal repurcussions.

Are you telling me that I can publicly call for the assasination of cabinet members without legal repercussion?

anybody know what they're saying? Besides that it's a Republican plant and surely Halliburton is behind it?

Let me guess: -- It is all Dubya's fault -- It is a quagmire -- It is like Vietnam -- It is a VRWC -- There is no job recovery -- Get rid of the tax cut -- The deficit is growing -- etc. etc. etc.

Had something to do about Mohandas Gandhi and a gas station, as I recall...

just got off the phone with the FL dem party and told them how outrageous this was. said an apology wasn't enough, they need to donate the money from this ad to the families of fallen soldiers...said if they just whitewash it, it will be brought up again and again...

The road trip would entail the hand delivering of a very thoughtful and unforgetable donation.

If you keep doing it you might be declaraed mentally insane and committed. And of course you might be questions. But the law focuses on protection of the President. I think, but correct me if you find a citation otherwise, you can threaten cabinet members (especially veiled threats like this on), unless there is a fear you will actually carry out such action.

So it is legal to publicly encourage a political assasination? Oh yeah, I forgot; democRATs aren't bound by laws like the rest of us. They are covered by free speech. Of course, by their rules, they are the only ones covered under free speech and laws only exist as a means of keeping the rest of us in line.

Your energy and passion, PKM, should be directed towards the Bush re-elect campaign, rather than your weeds, but knowing you here, I assume you already are helping the campaign.

Good advice to the massively frustrated, imho.
