Freeh - Congressionally mandated freeze on hiring new agents for 22 months.

That would be while the Dems had control of the $$$!

Kerry's ad campaign group put together an ad. They put together a focus group to review the ad. The focus group were so offended by the ad that they almost attacked the campaign members. Brit didn't give a published reference, but that would be an interesting read.

I was on an hour-long phone call and missed that! But it bears repeating in bold type! I'd love to read something about it if anybody finds it.

Me too.

I sent a letter to the White House, Rove, Senate and House Intelligence Committee members pointing out the articles and links between Iraq and AQ that go back over ten years.

Have asked RNC leadership why they don't point those links out more often as it would serve to strengthen support for the war in Iraq.

Reno was her boss.

She should NEVER have been allowed on this commission.

Here's my email to Kean:

Dear Commissioner Kean:

It is my understanding that Mansoor Ijaz, President of founder and chairman of Crescent Investment Management LLC, will give testimony to the Commissioners on May 17. This testimony is to be closed to the public.

Please accept this as my request that time be given to Mr. Ijaz to discuss the Commissioner's questions IN PUBLIC. Mr. Ijaz's television appearances and various written accounts of his efforts to co-ordinate Bin Laden's arrest with the Clinton adminstration contradict directly with former President Bill Clinton's taped account of this error. Bill Clinton's taped account of this, given at a luncheon at the Long Island Association in Woodbury, NY in February, 2002, is in the Commissioner's possession.

Please be sure that the American people have the opportunity to review this important information via a televised appearance by Mr. Ijaz.

Thank you for your prompt attention to my request.

FYI: Here is a link on Ijaz for all Freepers who don't know much about him:

If Freeh admited that he knew Gore compromised securiy for campaign dollars, he would certainly appear in a bad light for doing or saying absolutely nothing at the time.

True but I will the Pubbies would be tougher on Freeh. The contrast between how Rice was 'interrogated'by the RATs vs. Freeh who was there for so long is very obvious.

Lehman asking about Terry Nichols, McVea link to Al Qa'ida vis Ramsey Youseff.

Freeh is taking a pass and claiming ignorance.

Questioning whether OKC involved more than 2 white guys in a van.

Freeh knows of no connections and doesn't want to comment on an ongoing case.

Yup.

Freeh - A review is going on regarding this matter but doesn't want to mention more because it's an ongoing case.

Doesn't know about Ramzi Yousef and ?? (missed it).

Can't believe Freeh claims not to know anything about this matter!

Does he not read newspapers? And they make fun of President Bush because he doesn't read many newspapers. Sheesh.

From post #287

Brit was talking about Ron Brownstain's piece in yesterday's LA Slimes:

That widespread belief has two major implications for the 2004 campaign. First, it means that based on the information available so far, most Americans recoil from efforts to blame Bush for the attacks. One leading Democratic interest group recently asked a focus group in Florida to respond to a potential television ad accusing Bush of negligence in failing to stop the attacks. The result was volcanic against the ad.

"They were so angry I thought they were going to turn the tables over," said a Democratic operative who watched the session. "It was a very polarizing ad, and it pushed people who were on the fence decidedly away from us."

He did.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how Louie Freeh comes out so clean in all of this -- in everything, in fact!
