YOu have it assbackards. The 9-ll shrieking widows have been groomed by democrat operatives, and they get their talking points from the committee. NBC and MSNBC wouldn't have them on so often if they didn't come armed with specific allegations, and they didn't come armed with leaked information from the committee. In many cases, they have to read from notes to make sure they get the phrasing precisely.

The committee has used these women for their own political advantage. It's disgusting!!

That's what I thought. An 8% increase is significant, especially considering how budgets are developed.

Ashcroft is the one being set up as the fall guy

Some analysts were saying that last week after Dr. Rice's testimony. She did such a good job, the Lib/Dems quickly changed from just attacking her to attacking her and Ashcroft.

Now, the Lib/Dems perceive Ashcroft as being vunerable because Dr. Rice became 'untouchable.'

The Dems need some Republican's head to roll for them to gain any credibility. [Based on history, they might get one.]

"Yesterday on Tony Snowes show he said he will testify on May 7th and it will be behind closed doors. He wants it to be televised, but the commision said no!

Thanks, Bommer!!

Email the 9-11 Commissioners and ask that Mansoor Ijaz be allowed to testify in public, ALSO!! The public needs to hear what he has to say. He attempted to co-ordinate the hand-over of BinLaden to Clinton, which Clinton refused (and Mansoor was ticked!!)

"FREEP: Phone Commission at 202-331-4060 Email Commission at info@9-11commission.gov Eleni121 spoke to the secreatry at the commission whoshe stated that the best way to voice concern is in writing --in the form of the email that is posted but put Thomas Kean in the subject line."

Thanks, Peach.......good info!

The media are positively evil in their deceit, but they shall not win the day

I heard on Brit Humes show last night that the dems test marketed a campaign commercial that was about how President Bush mishandled 9/11 and how incompetent he is on the War on Terror. The test group revolted against it. The dems said that it was so bad that it drove the independents in the room to Bush's side. Bring it on!

WASHINGTON – White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said Friday that the president was not satisfied with a tentative agreement reached between lawmakers on an independent Sept. 11 commission and said that more work needed to be done.
"There are a couple of issues that remain between the White House and the Congress as this matter moves forward," he said.

Supporters of an independent commission to investigate the causes of the Sept. 11 attacks had blamed the White House after an agreement on the panel fell through late Thursday, just hours after it was announced that an agreement had been reached.

"Publicly the White House champions the commission, but behind the scenes they are doing everything they can to stop it," said Steven Push, the treasurer of Families of Sept. 11. "We are angry, but we are not going to give up. We are going to keep pushing on this until it goes through," he said.

Push was present at a news conference Thursday afternoon at which key House and Senate lawmakers, including the heads of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Bob Graham, D-Fla., and Richard Shelby, R-Ala., had triumphantly announced that a deal on the panel had been reached.

That agreement would have created a 10-member panel, half appointed by Democrats and half by Republicans, to investigate for two years the Sept. 11 attacks. Lawmakers said that the agreement had appeared firm among House and Senate leaders. By the early evening, however, the leading House Republican in the deal, Porter Goss, R-Fla., had expressed concerns and said that a deal had not been reached, staffers said.

Fleischer confirmed Friday the White House had not been satisfied.

He said that the White House wanted to restrict the power of the panel to subpoena witnesses and evidence. Under the proposal announced Thursday, majority consensus would not be required before a subpoena could be issued. That would open the door to the possibility that subpoenas could become a political tool, he said. "One-political-party subpoenas lead to paralysis and politics. They don't lead to solutions. And that is why this is an important issue that needs to be fixed and addressed," he said.

Fleischer also said the White House wanted the chairman of the panel to be appointed by the president. Under the proposal announced Thursday, the member appointed by the president would serve as a co-chair with a member appointed by the Democratic congressional leadership.

The other eight members would be appointed by congressional leaders: four by Democrats and four by Republicans.

Push said that the White House's latest suggestions would not be acceptable to the families.

"They want to control the commission, and we're not going to let them do that," Push said.

"If the president appoints the sole chairman, the Republicans could block any subpoena. If he appoints someone who's not going to look deeply into the issues, the investigation will go nowhere. It will no longer be an independent commission, and it will no longer be bipartisan," he said. Proponents of the commission said they hoped to return to the issue next week.

I'm concerned about Atty. General Ashcroft - it hasn't been that long since his very painful and serious surgery. This good man needs our prayers - never has an attorney general been so vilified by the evil left.

Is Kean's FBI file held by Gorelick and the DNC?
Does the ENTIRE emasculation of the Republicans result from the stolen files?

Why has the FBI NEVER done anything about the stolen FBI files?

NewsMax says the 9/11 Commission received the videotape of Clinton admitting he wishes he'd taken custody of OBL when offered by Sudan.

New information regarding the Commission's receipt of that tape - last month.

You could be right. Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN is running a "War on Porn" related story (I think either tonight or tomorrow). They're rolling out the hit peices.

Biggest news thus far - the FBI did not have a plan pre-9/11 to deal with terrorism.

Despite Clarke's assertion that terrorism received a top priority equal to a Middle East peace agreement which comprised of having Arafat as the most frequent White House visitor.

Your # 121 is excellent background and timeline on the Aug 2001 memo. The committee and the shrieking widows making a big deal out of this memo, is such a sham, and the media is in on the fix.
