The girls are young and pretty. I am a conservative Republican.
That does not change the fact that their outfits are inappropriate for daughters of the American President to be wearing when going to Easter services or visiting wounded troops.
The jean jacket looks trashy as does the spaghetti strapped dress. It is too revealing for church, IMHO.
I wore khaki pants, an oxford button down shirt, and a blue blazer to church yesterday, if that sets your mind at rest.
As it so happens, I am a very good-looking guy.

The spaghetti strap dress is covered by a sweater, for crying out loud. It was windy in Texas yesterday, and cold. Barbara probably forgot to bring a sweater and the only jacket she had was a blue jean jacket from the ranch.
Y'all need to get a life. It was colder on Easter here in Texas than it has been for most of our Christmas Days.

If you have a Sears JCPenneys or any quarterly clothing catalogs,(my wife always has them laying around) look at the young womens section. they are quite "IN" style. stick to politics.

The jean jacket may be the only moderate weight top Barbara had at the ranch since she was most likely visiting from school for Easter. As for Jenna's spaghetti strap dress; she's wearing a long sleeved wrap style sweater that looks as though, in church and out of the wind, would be a modest cover-up. With the wind blowing, it looks like it just blew off her shoulders.
Cut them some slack!

Well, I think the green dress looked better in the second picture... from the side view it looked odd. Re. the spaghetti strap complaints: I'd agree that is not appropriate for church, but perhaps that is why she's wearing a sweater over it. As for the jean jacket, again maybe a poor choice, but she may not even have worn it to church. As an earlier poster pointed out, she may have pulled it on in the car or in transit. I thought the hemlines were pretty modest and overall the dresses looked very nice. I think a lot of posters have gone a bit overboard on nitpicking the clothes! Maybe some would say the girls should dress more conservatively, but I certainly don't think the dresses merit the kind of complaints people are posting....

As it so happens, I am a very good-looking guy.And modest as well!
In my opinion, the first daughters dresses look fine. What are they supposed to do, dress like matronly old women? Give 'em a break!
What is more important is where they spent their Easter Sunday, and what they were doing. It seems some people will nitpick about anything when it comes to President Bush and his family.

OK, let's see here...on Easter Sunday, I wore grey slacks, a bright yellow-with-blue-stripes Oxford button-down shirt, and no jacket. Oh, and no tie!
As it so happens, I'm not all that good-looking of a guy!
But...
...as it so happens, I am the pastor!
Is that bad?!?!?!?
