Bush awarded 10 purple hearts to troops recovering in the hospital, after attending an Easter Sunday Church service at a chapel within the army base in central Texas.

Even if we take off for a couple of days, we bring the laptop. You just never know.

I share Slim's sentiments; it's nice to have a break.

Besides, if I tried to smack Mrs. CD, I would probably draw back a bloody nub.

tell me... have you EVER in your life used the words GAUCHE Or OUTRE??? EVER? let alone to describe clothing???

I don't even know the defintion of those words. The French launguage has never attracted my interest.

D. Slaughter sounds as if he/she is A Perfect Lady. Have all y'alls ever seen her posts? She hasn't posted since January, but a true prig she is.

I hope this helps!
LOL-LOL-LOL
But I can't find a poster by that name.

"I laugh aloud at strangers in a store when the stranger's clothing does not meet my standards"

I always thought the "fashion police" were better trained. Discretion and silent grading used to be the hallmarks. We men can judge any/all females on the base 1 - 10 scale in miliseconds without making a sound or outward recognition of the 'grading' being done. Just a knowing look to a fellow grader is all that is needed.
Are there any states that have laws against the 'full-figured' wearing bikinis?

Thanks for the summary. Sounds like it was interesting, to say the least. Maybe we'll soon have a new poster sign up, 'FreedomInEasterThongs'?

he claimed to be a texan.....

Bless his heart,
he hinted at being military.
He lectured us on proper attire for military bases;
(chapels etc.)

I hope this helps.

I should never have taught Mrs. Slim to shoot, or bought Mom a shotgun. We're talking reasonable fear here!

He/she/it also posted to you that it didn't care for human companionship.

I wonder if it prefers the company of Barbie dolls, or is more of an "inflatable companion" type of person.

he/she's getting so much attention, even in absentia, that surely it is galling them not to be able to rejoin the conversation!

Well, I cannot really confess to being fashion police. Folks probably laugh at me, too. It is only recently that I cannot resist laughing aloud. I think it is the overabundance of women wearing too tight shirts with rolls of flab hanging out. And tattoos on their backs, peeking out from beneath a too tight and too short shirt. Maybe my eyes were only recently opened to such. Are folks less self conscious now????????

I grew up in Silver Spring, and I was visiting family on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I did spend two days at a business meeting in McLean. Got a good taste of the inner-loop from Cabin John to Rt. 50 one afternoon, reminds me why I moved to NM.

Duuooohh! My bad. It's hard keeping up with all the transitional characters here on the daily soap opera,"Days of our lives at FR".

And you were blessing him throughout, Sister Mary Xsmommy.

Pssst Slippy, "bless your heart" is the classy southern-woman way of saying "F* off".

I guess that depends on who's saying "Bless your heart." I have sure heard it said by many a Southern lady, and those ladies were genuinely concerned for the person(s) to whom they spoke.

What I can't figure out is why we call panties "underpants." If you don't wear pants (and I do) and only wear skirts and dresses, shouldn't they be called "underskirts"?
