Gretchen, I truly did not mean to hurt your feelings or to make fun of you. And I am relieved by your post. But I do still disagree with you about women being responsible in any way for men having trouble praying in church because they are showing too much skin. when that happens, the men ought to pray for them or close their eyes. To sort of even start telling women to cover up, to be responsible for men's lust seems so close to a slippery slope to me. I do know some women dress like tarts and are inappropriate but I am sure that with time and example they ought to come round. I for one would be incensed by a minister who made the announcements you describe. But this is just a difference of opinion. And I apologise for any mocking of you.

"Wasn't it Little Lulu who wore a red dress with black polka dots?"

Maybe so, I don't remember, but Daisy Mae was more of a temptress in polka dots. Ha.

Oh darn. Here I thought I was going to liberate myself.

Since I haven't dated in two years, that's pretty much a moot point anyway....:)

I do believe that is better don't you? I would hate for people to get the idea I am recommending no underpants as that is contrary to some of my rules.

My eighth grade teacher who just died at 103 wouldn't let girls wear sandals in her class as she thought they were a sign of sexual looseness.

Oh yes, but I need to get a copy of these rules, because the older I get, the more I'm up for about anything that makes me feel comfy!

Guess what is he first thing to go when I walk in my bedroom after being out of the house?????

"And another thing. I love GWB and his daughters feel like they are mine and my mother lion instinct comes out when prigs criticize them, the press goes after them and hateful things are said about them. It makes me furious."

And - you've always defended Chelsea from unwarranted attacks. I'm choking on that one.

I can't help it. Got a soft spot for young women having three daughters and two granddaughters. They can be so sensitive and do such stupid things but I hate to see them bashed. Chelsea is unfortunate iin her parents and her looks. I think she is pitiful.

We had the stangest dress codes when I was in grade school in the 60s. At that time, girls weren't allowed to wears slacks. So, in order to play on the "Jungle Gym", you had to have tights (I think we called them "leotards") on under your dress.

Why that popped into my mind, I have no idea. Is there a full moon out tonight????....

I am not so sure I liked a yankee stealing our "bless your heart" thing however although I suspect she has southern relations.

Ya gotta forgive us Yankess that wised up and moved below the Mason-Dixon line...........

If I remember correctly there is a story behind her using that "perticula" phrase under these circumstances.........

Yeah, I think undies are needed at work, depending on the job I guess. Lifeguards might not need them. Or pole dancers.
