Barbara (L) and Jenna Bush, the daughters of U.S. President George W Bush, walk together from the Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas, April 11, 2004 after President Bush (news - web sites) and members of his family visited with soldiers wounded in Iraq (news - web sites). Bush awarded 10 purple hearts to troops recovering in the hospital, after attending an Easter Sunday Church service at a chapel within the army base in central Texas.

I don't go out of my way to nosh at Costco on the weekend, when they really put out the free samples, in fact, I prefer to avoid the crowds, but I do like grazing at Fresh Fields on sample days. Their stuff is so expensive that I prefer to sample it before I buy it, if I can. Saturday we grazed at Marvelous Market, in DC -- lots of fun stuff like flourless chocolate torte.

Maybe somebody should publish a guide to etiquette and free samples. Running your cart into somebody else's ankle is obviously a no-no.

How about this one - is it a violation of free sample etiquette to sample something you know in advance you'd never buy in a million years?

We get the Washington Post AND the Washington Times. My husband reads the Times, and I read the food sections, the entertainment sections, the home improvement sections, the book reviews, etc. in both, and the boys read the comics in both. I do think the Post has become a teensy bit more conservative since 9/11 or maybe since Katharine Graham died.

Actually, hubby and I thought that if we were in a financial bind, we could load up the children into the van, and take 'em around for samplings at Sams and Costco for lunch. lololol

Stopping at the end of an aisle and blocking other folks from going down the aisle in order to feed your toddler some kind of chocolate pudding sample is a definite no-no. And being clueless about the line of folks waiting to go down the aisle is also unacceptable.

Do not go shopping at lunchtime on the weekend. The sample lines will drive you MAD. Unless you have been drinking heavily or are drugged up with Prozac or some such.

Dress in layers in order to disguise your appearance. After you go through a particularly good sample line, remove a layer of clothes, so that the sample-hostess is uncertain whether or not you have been through her line before.

I gotta run. Check back later.

The honest to gosh truth is my mom has always worked out. She worked out in the 50s.

That's great. I wasn't around in the 50s, I just assumed that working out wasn't really a big priority for men, or women back then... Look at Superman, or Batman in the 60s... Superman represented the strongest individual in the world, and there wasn't a muscle on him!.

I posted a couple of threads for onyx to peruse after she cleans her floors. She was a total jerkwad.

Floors are done and I've perused.
Apparently she's was everything you stated,
and maybe more. Quite snippy. Full of herself.
As for our troll, I forogt to notice yesterday,
had he just singed-on?
See, to me, I think he "knew" us, and
was having fun with us also.
I hate to venture a guess...

I think what they did was didn't use their muscles. That's problably why Superman had atrophied muscles. The machines did all the work for them. Kind of like snake oil, ya' know?

"Of course I hated the Clintons, but that doesn't negate the fact that Chelsea was always there doing her job and doing it well."

Thanks for that reply. It says loads. I notice that you aren't criticizing Chelsea for her "drinking" the way that you do the Bush twins. Lord knows, she put herself in positions that were easy for you to criticize, and it wasn't in attending church or visiting wounded troops, which is what they were doing, thus the topic of the thread, on which you posted. No, you chose to say that Chelsea was "doing her job". Sorry, I'm just being honest.

He signed on April 9, 2004.

Remember he kept saying his daughter was a perfect lady or something. Yesterday, something hit me about his posts, and I couldn't put my finger on it.

As always, I could be wrong. This is just a gut feeling. No facts to base this assumption upon.

You are making me laugh all over again. BTW I knew he was a she cause in the heat of the thread he never once mentioned he had a gun and was going to shoot us. You can always count on a true male freeper to mention his guns at least once on a hot thread.

I hope this helps. Bless your heart!

I don't remember Chelsea ever being caught drinking while she was under age. Sorry, I'm just stating the facts. What I'm curious about is why you're taking this so personally. The twins, for whatever reason, don't come off polished or appreciative of their position. That's the way it APPEARS. If you have evidence to the contrary, I'd love to hear it. Chelsea seemed more mature than these girls, and I don't think anyone will disagree with me.
